Is Metallic Paint Without Pearlescent Possible?

I want to choose a metallic paint without there automatically being a pearlescent.

For instance, when you choose a white metallic it automatically has a black pearlescent.

You can apply the same color pearlescent as the metallic, but this over saturates the color and appears somewhat flat.

It's interesting because I chose Cabernet Red for my metallic once and it did not have a pearlescent applied...

Yes. That's called Classic.

I'm actually probably wrong here but from my understanding, the pearl shine to the Metallic paint is what made Metallic different to Classic. The black pearl is "automatically" applied but it's not really visible, is it?

It's not visible, but it clearly does something, otherwise it would not be there.

It was a poor example, consider that choosing a red will automatically have another red pearl.

Classic has a distinct clear gloss.

Metallic is more reflective in a glaring way, and adding the pearl sort of smooths it out.

How about trying black pear on any color maybe it's just me but I can't notice a difference in color change when applying black pearl on metalic paint

Buy any metallic paint and do NOT buy a pearlescent. There ya go.

Every metallic paint has a default pearl colour.

Whenever I buy metallic there is no pearl that I can see. There is a reason why you have to go to pearlescent.

Scroll down the list when you apply it and it should have the default pearl marked as equipped

A lot of the metallic paints, especially those with a 5-digit price, has a non-black peralescent coating by default.

@OP: Since having black as pearlescent is a complete waste of money (it basically turns your paintjob into an overpriced classic), I suggest applying the same color for both metallic and the pearlescent effect if you don't want anything fancy. (Unless you're doing black metallic, in which case use any of the silvers, whites, lighter shades of black or Diamond Blue as the pearlescent coating)
