No, see, "don't care" would give you a complete poll that would encompass all board members and their possible opinions (which you guys don't want...you want everyone to agree with you).

 

As for the same threads popping up over and over, it's either the same dozen suspects on here who continually start these threads or people who signed up within a week and are under level 30. It's not exactly great company to be in.

If you look at the first post I've made in this thread, you'll find no insults directed at anyone. I merely said that, as non - jet vehicles can't dodge homing launchers properly, it would be fair (in my opinion) to give non - jet vehicles flares.

 

Then other posts come in.

The poll asks for a yes or a no, to find out who wants flares, and who doesn't. If the goal was to find out if you care or not, it would simply ask you.

You're posting on a public message board and then think it's weird that people who regularly visit said board respond to things posted, whether in agreement or not? That makes sense. Plus, I've posted in exactly TWO threads you guys have made...not exactly stalker material, son.

 

You guys love to throw the word "hate" around, but obviously, you don't understand what that means. "Hate" is not having a differing opinion. Look it up and you'll see yourself (or just wait until you get that far in your vocabulary class).

 

"Don't care" isn't about the thread...it's about the topic, and its inclusion in the poll would have made it balanced properly. I neither want or don't want flares...I don't care. That's a legitimate opinion. But not having the option, you limit the amount of people who contribute to your poll or force them to vote based on the "lesser of two evils". It's a lot like American politics, actually.

 

Once again, all you two want is people to agree with you, then you whine more when someone voices their opinion.

Hmm, no one else seems to be doing this whole "identifying" thing, i.e. repeatedly insulting others (hate basically)

 

The poll is for opinions. "Don't care" is not an opinion. If you don't have an opinion to vote with, you don't need to vote. Simple right? Take American politics as an example: if you don't want to vote for either party, you don't vote for the "I don't care" party; you simply don't vote.

 

More people agree with you on what? You didn't come to the thread with an opinion? Also, you have maybe 3/4 likes, all off the same person ... right. If you're talking about whether or not flares should be added, looks like 70% are against you.

This isn't exactly a military simulator. Technically, against the current HM launcher flares wouldn't work like they're supposed to since you don't get warned while the lock is taking place, you only get warned once the missile leaves the launcher. For you to break the lock using flares the proper way the warning tone should beep as the HM is trying to lock (prior to launching), so the lock won't happen on the jet/helo. Once the missile is locked on the aircraft it's too late to use flares, that's when chaffing (spreading metal particles) would be useful, and much prettier imo.

 

All that to say flares wouldn't do anything unless they just nerfed the missile chasing you once you flare... which wouldn't be cool imo.

Just fly in circles ...that's the GTAV "flare".

I am not much an expert, but i know flares can fool infra red guided missiles(like the homing launcher in GTA)where chaffing works against radar guided missiles.The flares you are talking about is maybe the flare gun?

As for if Rockstar will actually do anything, I guess we'll see, but here's the thing...I don't care if they change it either. I'd rather them keep everything as is, but it won't affect my game one iota. See, some of us can handle a grown-up game...maybe you should learn to as well.

This. Anyone who's been in a Savage vs Savage fight knows it's usually just missiles all over the place, then one or more of you die.

I don't know about last gen but on PS4 you cannot lock-on to unarmed aircraft with the Homing Launcher, the only exceptions are the gold luxor and gold swift which seem bugged as they cannot be flown in passive mode either.

 

The jets can easily avoid homing missiles and do not need flares, the only things that need flares are the armed helicopters, they are now useless, it's too difficult to avoid homing missiles in them which makes them a huge waste of money.

The unarmed aircraft thing is actually just a glitch, and sadly Rockstar have said they're working to fix that.

Think of it this way. Imagine there's an "I don't care" option. Whoever looks at the results will glance at that, cross it off and look at the yes/no votes (to gain an idea of how many people want or don't want flares).

 

A "don't care" option, is pointless then. It doesn't tell anyone anything, other than that whoever voted for it hasn't made up their mind, or just doesn't care. Yes/no votes though, point you towards an actual answer to the question (whether or not flares should be added).

And having a no vote/don't care option would be useless. Even if it was there, and a lot of people voted for it, what do you do with that?

 

Imagine if you had that with a government/political parties, an option to vote "I don't vote" - if this was to get a majority, what would you do with that? Just not have any government at all?
