Looks really nice. Once the tool is fully released I hope a full installation guide is written, I'm a big fat noob when it comes to stuff like this.

I do not think this is dead. it's a decent project.

 

Sometimes people take time out like me or there just busy with other life matters.

I followed these steps:

# Installation
1. Download the repository as a folder.
2. Copy the folder to your scripts\addons folder.
3. Activate the addon from blender.

 

For step 3 did File->User Preferences->Add-ons ->Install from Files, selected __init__.py from the path-visualizer. It showed up in the add-ons list in the "object" categories with the title "Object: GTA Path Tools". I have then check the checkbox.

 

What now, how do I use it? Can someone get me started?

This is not dead. I have been busy with other things in life. I will resume this project once, blender 2.8 is out.

thanks bro for the work, and do you hear about "gta-tool" blender add on, it can import ipl,dff,and ifp, so can you put the dff io for ped into your whishlist , because this "gta-tool" is outdated and very limited in export ped, since blender "automatic weight" is dependable i think its easy to make character using this program,

cmon man that's gonna take forever for blender 2.8 release, I need this to export gta iv stuff into v

Where do I actually find the tool.It isnt actually appearing in the left sidebar as other scripts are.Do i need to press some specific key or make some more adjustments to bring up the menu?

Was thinking about it. Probably initial version would just be importing the files, which would also help with this tool, since path needs to align with ground height. But since blender api is heavy in influx at the moment until 2.8 is stabilized, I will hold off any effort for now.
