Police lights,siren, on a vehicle

Dear Forum,

I like to know how to make a mod/script

to let the police siren and light's work on a other vehicle.

 

I can replace the siren's in zmodeler3, and they work when i replace a police vehicle,

but now i like to know, how i can make them work if i replace the same car Like this.

 

exemple:

Caddy.

using zmodeler to get the sirens from te police car.

and put them on the caddy,

now replace the modded caddy and the orginal one. without replacing the policecar.

 

So short story:

Let the police lights and sirens work on a non police car :)

Please help me with this i wil give you credits for the help ofcourse :)

Alright, I hope I understood what you meant.
If you manage to add lights and the siren settings on a vehicle, then all you need to do is make it an "add-on" vehicle.

You'll need to have a custom name (policecaddy.ytf, policecaddy.ytd etc...), a custom vehicles.meta and a custom carvariations with the proper stuff added.

You'll then be able to spawn the vehicle using a trainer that lets you type vehicle names.

 

You need Zmodeler to add the lights (lightbar model), the siren will be added by changing the "siren" setting to 2 in the carvariations file.

This guy did exactly what I just described. Also, I'm sharing some of my work with you to help you out. I already did a custom police caddy a few weeks back.

This is what you need to add to the carvariations.meta (note, my model name was pocaddy. it has to match your files name.)

Then you can try to replace the carvariations.meta and vehicles.meta from the mpluxe2 DLC (path is in the screenshot above)

Hello this is already a lot of information, and i am so thankful for this,And even a add on car tutorial to :)

what i meant was How can i replace the normal caddy (for example) with the orginal caddy (so it's not an addon)

but this way i don't have to replace the policecar, so the (caddy) wil have the orginal animation,

 

So,

Caddy Made it custom with al the file's i need in zmodeler3

then replace the normal caddy with my modded siren/light one,

then try to let the light work (without replace the police car/addon.

 

I realy appriciate what you have done for me :)

I have search for day's, thats why i asked this on the forum.

I did make the lights on the bati2 and they are working when i replace a police motor,

so that file is done,

sadly there's a few files still encrypted (well, "non accessible" by OpenIV yet) containing the original vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta of a lot of vehicles.

There's a vehicles.meta accessible with some vehicles including the caddy, but I think it is also using the encrypted carvariations.meta

If I'm right, then that means that your only way to get this vehicle is using the add-on method. There might be a way to add the vehicle to the circulation, but

I don't know how if so.

when i open the carvariations.meta in x64a.rpf/data with Notepad ++ i see text (NULL NULL NULL)

 

so if i like to add this Bati2 then,

What do i need?

 

you uploaded al the spoilers with the caddy,

Do i need to rename every caddy to bati2? for the carvariations.meta?

and past them in the .meta?

2:

the spoiler vehicles.meta

do i need to copy the original bati2 text in vehicles.meta

then change all those name's to Bati2(random name like) bati2siren?

and past is somewhere in the vehicles.meta?
