Everything works, but there're some dealbreaking bugs:

  • Original wheels are misaligned, reason of why you see custom wheels on it (which... are a bit misaligned too.)
  • When car is idle, it slowly starts sliding to the left. I don't know what causes this, I'll fix the wheels first and if it doesn't solve this problem, I would really need help here.

Also, the interior is a mess but I don't care because I'll remake it from scratch. I'm testing some dashboards to see what fits better for a Fifth Avenue. Roosevelt dials would look great, but the dashboard in general feels really outdated:

If anyone has a suggestion about the dashboard or any clue about the sliding car bug, please feel free to reply!

Use Emperor's dashboard. It fits the car very well.

The Sliding to the Left whilst Idling could be a Suspension Bug. I have Downloaded Modded Police Vehicles for IV in the past with similar bugs to that.

Happens also with another project I'm working on (based on a Bison). I didn't even modified nor moved the suspension in that truck, but still does the same glitch (more often, but it does).

I'll revert to stock handling.meta, maybe that's the problem.

Look who's back!

  • Completly new interior, from dashboard to door panels and roof! Working dials and steering wheel.
  • Fixed boot and bonnet rotation

Bugs:

  • I can't manage to break windows yet. Probably collsions are messed up. I'll try to use original Emperor's (COL) files for them.
  • Wheels are reeeeeally thin, like bike wheels. Easy to fix, I just need to stretch wheel_lf and it's done.

I'll try to get it uploaded by tomorrow Thursday :)

It looks gorgeous.

Why dont you try to use some wheels from LSC? preferably from the lowrider section. That way it would look more unique IMO.

Yeah use wheels from Benny's I think, Knock Offs or whatever they're called could fit it very well. Also don't you think that steering wheel is a bit modern?

I've tried using custom wheels, but they show misaligned ingame and they dance everywhere on the map once you start rolling the car. So it's better to use stock wheels (SA Greenwood had common wheels, nothing fancy) and you can replace them in LSC or Benny's. I'll try to make it as an addon car (DLC) so you don't need to replace vehiclemods.rpf and so. At the moment it replaces Emperor.

How about that modern steering wheel? Will it be replaced with more suitable one?

I was just testing different models since th original Emperor's steering wheel doesn't suit at all (looks like an aftermarket racing steering wheel). If anyone has a suggestion it will be more than appreciated!

@MGgames100 I've ditched it. Looks too older for an 80s car. This is a Fifth Avenue steering wheel:

1985_chrysler_fifth_avenue-pic-661091559

This is the original Greenwood's steering wheel:

hqdefault.jpg

(dafuq?)

Actually, the "modern" steering wheel I've been testing for this car really fits to what III Era's greenwood was, but it's not accurate for a real Fifth Avenue. So I'll need to work on a new steering wheel for this model. Believe or not, there are only 3 different steering wheels in GTA V... I have to do a 4th one.

EDIT: Just don't ask me what the hell will come out of this...

I'm not sure why I can't break windows yet. I've set all IDs and flags, "Crash" user defined options in every window but they still dont seem to work. I need some help here, anyone?

I guess someone with experience will be able to fix it. I think I'm gonna release it in this state now. If anyone wants to help me please PM me. Also my Zmodeler license will end up in two days...

I would still prefer the "aftermarket" steering wheels you were talking about simply because all other classic cars in V have them

Then your wish has come true, I've left the original emperor steering wheel since I have to focus in other important bugs. I've fixed the thin wheels, but I can't manage to break windows, even with original emperor files. So I've just released the first version (0.5) and it's waiting for admin's approval. Thanks to everyone who followed this mod since late september. As you will see in the gta5-mods description, this mod is very important to me since I've never spent so much time in a project like this one. And now, it's ready. Enjoy it!

What a great looking Car.I would love to try it but i hate replacing Cars i would like to keep. Can i rename the three Files with a Name of another Car,for example the snowy ones from North Yankton which aren`t used in LS anyway?

I still can spawn them via Trainer and also can get them in Traffic with a Traffic Spawning Script.

Yep, rename them to

emperor3_hi.yft

emperor3.yft and

emperor3.ytd.

You would probably need to replace emperor3 strings in vehicles.meta with the original emperor ones.

It's not 100% necesary but since the NY's emperor is a beater, your Greenwood will start to backfire and make weird engine noises. Open vehicles.meta file with Wordpad, press Ctrl + F and find "EMPEROR" string. Select the whole bunch of lines and copy it. Now press Ctrl + F again and search for EMPEROR3. Replace these lines with the ones you copied earlier, and add a "3" after EMPEROR. Save, replace, and enjoy!

Working in new version folks!

Okay, tried the Method with only renaming the three Files from your Mod and dumped them where they belong but nothing happened. The snowy Emperor was still a snowy Emperor.

Will have to try now the Method with editing the vehicles.meta.

Speaking of which, there are a bunch of vehicle.meta Files scattered throughout the Gamefiles, which one needs to be modified?

Edit:I just had a look at the first vehicles.meta File and opened that with Wordpad.

The Vehicles String starts with " <modelName>emperor</modelName>" right?

Here's a handy suggestion for you; Download a Text Editor called Notepad++. It's a far better Editor than Wordpad/Notepad.
