MASTER GABE 202
I was wondering (since I get my permit next year) what car I should buy. I was looking at a Toyota Camry, thought it was good, but I want to know your suggestions.
Flachbau
Well, what are you looking for in a car? Reliability? High MPG's? Price range? It would also help if you list what type of vehicle you have, such as hatchback, sedan, coupe, etc Edited September 2, 2015 by Android

Zyo
Yes some budget info would help a lot, plus what you intend to use it for. 50 mile a day commute? Weekend fun? $1,000 or $5,000? You mentioned the Camry, FWD important? Is gas mileage an issue? Camry is a decent, reasonably reliable sedan. If I was looking for something in the U.S like that for around $2k..... Bit of a stab in the dark but kinda similar: Nissan Maxima, 8th gen Impala, Volvo 850/S70. Mid-90s Buick Lesabre. All front drive, 4 door sedans that can be had for a few thousand. Honda Civic 6/7th gen is a bit smaller but a good cheap car for a new driver. If you don't mind RWD a 2nd gen Ford Crown Victoria could be had for similar money? R3CON
I would recommend the Accord and the Impala, in addition to Zyo's post, since both are very reliable and spacious enough for your needs. The Accord is more fun to drive than the Camry and the Impala is bigger. You won't go wrong with the Toyota, but you might enjoy the others more. El Dildo
reliable, low-maintenance sedan as others have said, you really cannot go wrong with Toyota or Honda. cheap to own, cheap to maintain, and assuming you take care of it they'll still sell like a hotcake when you're done with it. for the same reasons that you bought it. you also get great MPGs from both Toyota and Honda along with above average safety features, trunk space, and legroom. as far as suggesting something different, I've also heard good things about Kia's and Buick's. that being said I've never really driven any Kia or Buick myself. DMC14
Honda spare parts are expensive here where i am (Australia). You cant go wrong with a toyota though. Does it have to be a sedan? i prefer the corolla's over the camry, especially for a first car. both have good reputations as reliable options.
