Is San Fierro the lamest place in San Andreas?

I loved San Fierro because of the 4 car garage in Hashbury and the Wheels Arc Angel mod shop, plus everything is easier to get to.

I love San Fierro. In fact, of all of the GTA games in the franchise's history, I honestly believe that the landscape, and I mean the entire map, is the most well thought-out, creatively crafted, and diverse topography. All three major cities are dramatically different from one another; all of the rural areas are really nicely different from all of the cities; and hell, even all three of the rural areas (Red County, Back-O-Beyond, and Bone County) manage to be vastly different from one another.

San Fierro is gorgeous (for its time, of course) and really captures the spirit and ambiance of San Francisco.

As a Deadhead for MANY years, I love the subtle fan service Rocktar paid to the Grateful Dead by naming the most trippy neighborhood in the city after Jerry Garcia.

I actually liked it, in fact, I wouldn't mind it being in GTA VI :)

It was a pretty good city, it might look bad for you because the game is like 12 years old

San Fierro is one of my favorite cities. Also, look at those beautiful, majestic bridges.

Spoofs of the Fourth Road and Rail Bridges, if I recall correctly. :^:

I don't think San Fierro was lame, I thought it was a very good city. As a huge San Fran fan especially in movies, I find San Fierro to be very beautiful with the steep hills, the many variety in a very small location, the accuracy to the different districts and cultures is really spectacular, especially they did it on very old hardware, and lastly it has lot's of character and I find it to be delicious to relax.

And the Golden Gate, of course.

There was something about the San Fierro charm that made it my favourite. I'm not sure what it is exactly but it just seems calmer and has always been my favourite of the three cities.

Just reached San Fierro on my current SA playthrough. Man, I forgot just how beautiful this city looks. It just has this image of immense charm, atmosphere of calmness, and it's very aesthetic pleasing.

This what I love about SA, the freedom to roam best ten completely different worlds within a world.

Actually no. I think it has an amazing atmosphere to it.. Infact one of the best atmospheres in a game I ever played. Its got some great "Cold" feel to it with the Fog making it one of my fave city's in any GTA. It just feels sooo... 2004 😊

Apart from the countryside this is my 2nd favourite place in the game. Driving down them hills listening to SF-UR = Amazingness!

The city was awesome. If it had gotten more time and effort invested into it, it would have been one of the top Cities in the franchise.

Its still my favorite nonetheless.

its amazing that i still find new things in this game. i own zero's rc property now and today i went to pick up cash from that spot. i went inside the to check out the store interior when I walked into the office there was a red marker for the "beefy baron side activity. you fly rc airplanes around the city destroying berkleys top fun vans. this is the game that keeps on giving.

Wtf OP...

Just because it may or may not be the lamest for you doesnt mean it is for alot of people

SF is amazing! Great places to explore, a HUGE variety of cool activities there like the driving school, or the gone in 60s car theft missions, the destruction derby arena, its the home of the original mount chilliad, car dealership business, import tuner shop and many more stuff, if i recall correctly it also had one of the coolest airports with many cool airships

Don't... it will cause deeper stuff... just get Extended Gang Wars mod which allows you to take over every gang and not just Ballas/Vagos...

You do realise that most GTA gamers play on consoles only, not PC right ? I'm one of them. So modding is of no use to me.

Why do I like San Fierro? well, I like it because

1. It's a great city; variety's in my opinion

&

2. I live in California, so, I live next to the real thing (San Francisco) dammit!! :D

I don't really have an opinion on how it looks, but I actually think it's a fun place. It's easy to navigate because it's pretty much a big grid (although, if you don't know it well, this can throw off your sense of direction), and there's loads of stunt jumps and other cool places.

It feels flat even when it's compared to the Countryside. I just don't find it interesting.

I can't agree with this. Take a drive down (or in many cases, up) the steep roads and you'll see what I mean.
