Is San Fierro the lamest place in San Andreas?

In reply to j7n, even though im just stating my opinion, San Fierro is a good place to do the 50 taxi missions. Again, in my opinion, its easy since the city is quite small and after a short amount of time, you will know most of the roads amd where they lead.

On San Fierro being the lamest place...

How abouts Bayside? You literally have a hover craft, a helecopter and a couple of "toys" hanging around.

(And boat school but im not a big boat enthusiast.)

I kinda liked it, because there's nearby shops and stores at Doherty garage, including the airport(free heli!)

It also feels like meh at the same time too because the atmosphere is just too bland(the blue-ish weather), especially during the daytime and noon.

I agree with you with the weather part. I think more 'weather colors' for San Fierro it would have been welcome by the players, but anyway I accustomed to the blue-ish weather color from the best version... PS2. :D

I always get the feeling it's dark ALL the time, I got that feeling in III and LCS too

*EDIT* Come to think of it, I get that feeling playing IV.... All the games set in Liberty?

Sorry, off topic.

For me, SF isn't so lame at all. Honestly, if I want to say the lamest place in SA. It would be LV because I didn't like the road layouts and so, I always turn on the map if I want to go anywhere in LV.

Definitely not the lamest. It has some weird charm to it.

Nothing is lame in 3D San Andreas except Ganton. Lol

lol, what? Ganton, seriously? I don't think so.

Is not lame at all, only his weather is a little bit strange and very blue, at least on PS2 BUT is not annoying, I can live with that.

Yes, it is the most lackluster city in SA.

BUT, the nostalgia of first getting there during my first playthrough of San Andreas cannot be beat. It felt so awesome getting out of the countryside into a new city in the SAME GAME.

The Bridges are cool at least. The Downtown isn't bad. The rest is kinda "meh".

IMO the only thing to do in SF is to go to the triads and f*ck with them dudes. Other than that they aint sh*t to do.

But on looks, imma say it is the best looking city. Its just 'different'

San Fierro's never really thrilled me that much before, though it's really not because of the city itself, which I actually like a lot (the Gant Bridge, the "Big Pointy Building" with the observation deck at the top, the hills, and the almost gentle (as Cesar put it) and calming bayside atmosphere) but rather the missions. From Jizzy B's annoying missions, to the Zero crap, to having to build up your breath meter to start "Amphibious Assault", it just kinda feels like a slog at times mission-wise. And don't f*cking get me started on...

*RING RING* (Gee, thanks for automatically answering that, CJ)

"The 'yay leavin' San Fierro, right?"

"Right, but they're using bikes, CJ, and they go cross-country!"

Ugh. Ugh.

But it is home to the aforementioned "Amphibious Assault" and "The Da Nang Thang", which are two of my favorite missions.

TBH I did not like any city in the game, but I spent the least time in San Fierro. Just completed Driving School, did the missions and never came back there again. It feels rushed, that pointless tram roaming around, and the alleyways are less. And always I'd get Cesar's phone calls when trying to explore, and like rest of the game, the city feels 'ugly'.

Yes, it's the lamest place in 3D Universe San Andreas.

I like San Fierro. Los Santos is the city that I'm least attracted to out of the three.

San Fierro seems like a place CJ would live after the events of the story. I could see the argument for Los Santos, but I have a feeling off screen Sweet and CJ talked it out, and realized the hood can still be a priority even if you're not in the middle of it. He has a garage - that beautiful house on that twisty brick street, and he's away from danger, no Salvatore gunning for him, no nothing. He can focus on himself, and his goals for his businesses.

Yeah SF be the place I would see him settling down too, or in the LV 'burbs, he got that casino thing going on

Yeah, I agree with you. Also I never thought this before. :)

That beautiful house on that twisty brick street

You mean this house? Calton Heights...

I've never liked San Fierro. I don't like the atmosphere there, and that dramatic change from PS2 to PC with the game colours just makes me hate the city more.

It was always my favorite city of SA, it's like the financial and business center of the game (when you consider the properties you can buy there), it is very exciting to race and drive because of the geography and it's a interesting contrast to the always sunny/heated Los Santos and Las Venturas.

San Fierro was one of my favorite cities of all time and I'm hoping they use it for the next GTA game.

I loved the townhouse-esque safehouses (Paradiso and Calton Heights)
