Anyone else feel sorry for Floyd?

Didn't see a similar topic so sorry if it exists. Anyway...spoilers possible.

 

 

Anyone else feel bad for Floyd in the story mode? I know he's somewhat of an ignoramus, and initially blissfully unaware that his life is crap, but Trevor's wakeup call seems a bit harsh. I know it's the nature of Trevor to destroy all he touches, but I didnt think Floyd deserved death, even though I found him annoying at times.

I don't think he needed to die. Trevor could have toughened him up, they kill Debra, dump the body somewhere and Trevor could continue living at the condo. Still having his other two safehouses(Still hate the fact you lose it and Frank's old house in the story).

Don't think he is even dead. I reckon it kicked off, he flipped at Debra when she told them to both f*ck off and Trevor helped him disappear. Next DLC will confirm it.

I like the idea of Debra being out of the picture, but R* was probably afraid having Floyd around too long would give Trevor too many toadies and be too similar to Wade. Floyd was one of the only polite and decent characters in the game for most of his appearances.

yea i liked floyd. i wish he was in more missions though. i think op is right floyd is one of the only characters in the game that feels like a normal person. it would have been nice to know how the whole scenario went down. atleast he showed that he could stand up for himself at the end. poor floyd.

Yeah. And i know GTA games strive for a lot of humor and satire, but i kind of felt like the message with Floyd was being naive or not standing up for yourself is a crime punishable by death, which is a tad extreme. At least he did show he had his limits, i don't think we'll be getting a DLC where you play as Floyd on the run, though, i believe the news reports two people dead at the scene of his apartment in the game.

I feel no worse for Floyd than I do for Ron and Wade. The latter two are criminal POS's but they too had friends (Wade) and family (Ron) before Trevor came into their lives. Floyd was definitely the most decent person in the game but it's hard to feel bad for a man who never stood up for himself against, something Trevor, in his weird little psychotic way did in fact try to help him with. Did he deserve to die, no of course not but neither did so many people Trevor came into contact with. Collateral damage.

@op my whole theory was based on the fact that I always thought there wasn't confirmation of two bodies in the apartment. Well I was very very wrong then, ha.

 

Void now, but didn't think there would ever be a DLC where we are him on the run, just a ending to that particular story, that Trevor helped him getaway etc.

 

I was so confident in this as well. Shows I don't have a clue.

Floyd certainly was abused and then rage killed, along with his wife, by Trevor so yea who wouldn't feel for the guy?

 

I do not like the whole Trevor rage killing Floyd and Debra and then for no reason Trevor takes over the strip club by killing the owner.

 

Way of topic: Floyd and Debra's condo, or one, next door would be a great location for an optional place for Franklin to live. Also it could be Trevor's city home instead of the Unicorn.

GTA V seemed to be the most over the top of the series. I mean, the torture mission, the amount of assassinations, and also Trevor in general. I did feel bad at first, but I remembered that the game is absolutely crazy.
