Do you ever hate certain vehicles because they're popular?

I am perhaps one of the most vocal "haters" of the T20.

 

Nothing to do with the drivers. Everything to do with the car its based off.

 

But cars simply because they're popular? Probably the Sentinel. Dear god in every car meet possible, someone will bring one of those. No offense to anyone who likes them, but they're about as unique as being left handed.

I'm not questioning your experience because everybody's will be different but I don't think I've ever, and I mean since October 2013, seen anybody with a Sentinel as a PV.

I don't mind the Zentorno, even though I think this guy would be driving one

I don't mind all the Kurumas, T20's/Osiris', or even the Insurgents.

Someone has a chrome car? So be it.

Someone wants to outdo GiantsGiants in car-customization? That's like dividing by zero and they failed, of course, but I don't care either way.

 

I've seen all the car fads come and go. Wasting time or energy (or ammo or money) hating a player because of the car they are using in a game is just silly.

No, I'm just not a fan of the armored version. Some called it the "Troll" vehicle in freeroam.

Also Akuma. It doesn't matter how fast it is, the last thing you can mod it is with exhausts only. To call it the fastest bike for races is totally biased in my eyes. Good for drag races, which is fine, but for other races involving a lot of corners and traffic, yeah no. Its far from being the best bike there is.

Hehe it's like that in real life too. Go to big car meets and there will be about 20 or more e92 M3s. Most modified but all pretty much looking the same.

And may I ask, why do you hate the P1?

Well, main reason is that I find it extremely ugly. Like when a few years ago I was your typical wannabe enthusiast, hating on popular cars and what not and really wanted to see the Mclaren one up the Veyron. I loved the F1 as a child so very much, loved the SLR, and when the MP4-12C came out I loved that one too.

 

Then I I saw that Mclaren announces a successor to the F1 and then I thought it was going to be exactly like the F1 but modernized, restyled, re engineered to fit with the future, perhaps like an uber MP4-12C in the same spirit of building the ultimate road car, the best driver's car possible. When it came out I was number one taken aback by the fact that I found it extremely ugly.

 

The P1 is better than the F1 in all measurable aspects, performance, luxury, safety and whatnot. It is essentially Mclaren's entire racing experience and R&D distilled into one car. Unfortunately those cars just aren't my style.

It's not my style either, I prefer cars like the 12C and 458 and Gallardo to full blown hyper cars. However I just can't say the P1 is ugly. Funky, yes, but ugly? It looks like it was shaped solely by aerodynamics and little else.

 

I like the T20 because it's what every hyper-based car in V should've been. Original, striking, loud, and worth the value. Be like nothing else, trying to be the ultimate driver's car. I don't get the same feeling from the Turismo R or the Entity XF. They're kind of underwhelming. And cars like the Adder just feel like afterthoughts. But the T20 just feels special. Every little aspect about it feels and looks like quality. Yes the cockpit is a copy-and-paste from the Comet but hey. It's a change from all of those Banshee interiors. And that spoiler is seductive.

 

 

Yeah, but another thing I don't like is that you can tell that the T20 like the Zentorno beforehand was designed as the end-all be-all car. It was to have the best stats, the finest handling, and the pride of their design team. I don't like that. I think it takes away the character of the car, when the manufacturer is pushing it really hard for it to be the best, which IMO the real one suffers from too.

 

On the other hand take a look at the Osiris. R* never intended the car to be the gamebreaker, considering near identical stats and figures with the Zentorno. It was just another option if you didn't fancy the Zentorno with wildly different handling and characteristics. It was never really intended to be the outright best, it was just effortlessly competitive with the best, just like the Huayra. The blue oni to the Zen and T20 red. It was elegant, while the other two are agressive, it was subtle while the other two are brash.

 

Of course my favorite remains the Bullet, but that's a different story altogether.

 

@Nacho Z You'd be surprised. They don't come out in FR but do a crowded coupes race, rare as they maybe, or join a street car meet then they will come in hordes. Applies to Schwartzers too on meets.

in my world (yes, in my own little world) 80% of the people are tasteless stupid sheeps, so the reason for me not to like a popular vehicle is because its ugly. i sold the zentorno as soon as there was something faster.

Well If you see a car ruined a lot by bast customisation, like the T20, it kinda takes the envy away of having one. But on the other had, if you get the same vehicle model and do it right, you will differenciate yourself too without having to buy a total different car. A simple silver metallic Adder, without tints, weird wheels and neons attracts more attention as you would think.

I updated it recently to be more trolly, and finally got to use it.

 

Some random sticky bombed me while I was trying to deliver a Simeon car. So I called up this beauty and ran him over. He immediately placed a 9K bounty on me. I would probably do the same if I got ran over in something that looked like that lol.

I drive my zentorno (black matte - red pearlescent, NY plates, green window tint), cause I like lamborghini, for me its kind of a mix of a sesto elemento and a veneno

It doesn't annoy me when they're popular, but sometimes I just fear for the lack of imagination on shown from most of the community. I really feel for the kids sometimes, it almost seems like fashion pressure has got to them in game even more than it does in real life. Sometimes I honestly think most people who play this game would be happy if the only cars on the game were 200 mile an hour super cars.

I do have 8 supers and 22 other different cars. I like cars, I like those cars. I understand people wanting to do missions or heist drives as quickly as possible but I personally get better immersion sometimes, turning up on a mission in a car that looks like something a criminal would actually use for the job. Something gnarly and GTA protagonist looking, but nevertheless still fairly inconspicuous, like a Schafter or an Intruder. Not an instantly recognisable 2 million pound Super car that i've grafted my arse off to get for my collection and would realistically get black flagged by the police in about 2 minutes.

Not always anyway, I like supers as much as the next player, it's just nice to see lesser used cars every now and again.
