Do you ever hate certain vehicles because they're popular?

I don't hate them but it disappoints me that every douchebag in random sessions has to drive around in a zentorno or T20 in hideous bright colors and with every available mod slapped onto it, these people have no taste or substance.

Customize youre car better and enjoy seeing ugly cars of people because they actualy think they look nice

Furore GT, because the car had the potential to have visual modifications, but R* managed to desecrate it as to not give it any visual modifications whatsoever. And don't get me started with the Adder neither.

I didn't hate it because it was popular, but I when I first started playing, it seemed everyone had a Zentorno, so I didn't buy one. I still don't have one.

I would say, with some pride, that the popularity of a vehicle hasn't influenced me to hate any car. If I like it, I'm getting it. I also participate in PvP, and got my armored vehicles with no shame.

 

Zentorno, I got it and I like the way I have it looking.

Adder, I got it and like my color scheme.

Karuma, she's there.

T20, yup...the wing/spoiler alone was a selling point (first one ever) and it looks nice.

 

But my Bati doesn't rest. I actually sold my original by mistake last week. I walked away from the game for a bit while I had just entered a LSC...and out of habit (I guess) I picked sell and ok'd the sell and my Bati was gone.

 

Bought a new one immediately, decided I wasn't going to take the time to customize it as I wish so I slapped Pure Gold as the primary and secondary colors because people here aren't too keen on chrome and gold. So, I made my first gold color vehicle.

I buy vehicles cause I want them or they are functional. I dont hate any car because it is popular. I had an zentorno cause it was the best super. It was awesome to drive. I would have bought the osiris if not the T20 had come out right after, it was also a rebate thing when I bought it. Had to sell my Zentorno to afford it tho wich is a shame because the T20 isnt as good to drive (last gen). I bought the kuruma on sale because it has a function in form of protection. I have only used it one time tho. I mostly use the cars and bikes I like best when I dont need to be anywhere, but I use the T20 to get places fast (or if there is enemies nearby with explosives). I dont hate any of them for being popular but I hardly use them if they dont serve a purpose.

Not really. I try to vary my 'collection' much as I can. Sleek sports and classics, harley and its opposite, couple big vehicles to serve as cover, etc

I really hate Fusilades and Zions. They're really fugly in my honest opinion. The rear of both cars just don't look right to me but I see them so often as NPC cars.

 

I used to hate the Zentorno (used to call them Zentornassholes), mainly because I didn't think the people driving it weren't worth their weight in salt. I did like the looks of the car though. Often in heists I've easily beaten people to the checkpoints in the Virgo, Felon, Insurgent, Dominator, even the Gresley(!!) etc. while they show up last in some mangled car. I've often been pitted or attacked by them too as if I'm somehow a threat. So I got the perspective that most people who drove them used cheap tactics and the speed of the car as an excuse for their sh*tty skills. The garish color/wing/wheel combos of many seemed kinda lame too, but that's a petty critique. I've since got over myself.

 

I test drove a friends Zentorno and was really impressed by how well it drove. So much so, I was actually saving up for the Zentorno as my first super.....

 

.....then IGG 2 happened and I continued to save for the T20 (best looking super IMO). Ironically my complaints about Zentorno drivers applied to the T20 as it became increasingly common.

Well, main reason is that I find it extremely ugly. Like when a few years ago I was your typical wannabe enthusiast, hating on popular cars and what not and really wanted to see the Mclaren one up the Veyron. I loved the F1 as a child so very much, loved the SLR, and when the MP4-12C came out I loved that one too.

 

Then I I saw that Mclaren announces a successor to the F1 and then I thought it was going to be exactly like the F1 but modernized, restyled, re engineered to fit with the future, perhaps like an uber MP4-12C in the same spirit of building the ultimate road car, the best driver's car possible. When it came out I was number one taken aback by the fact that I found it extremely ugly.

 

The P1 is better than the F1 in all measurable aspects, performance, luxury, safety and whatnot. It is essentially Mclaren's entire racing experience and R&D distilled into one car. Unfortunately those cars just aren't my style.

It's not my style either, I prefer cars like the 12C and 458 and Gallardo to full blown hyper cars. However I just can't say the P1 is ugly. Funky, yes, but ugly? It looks like it was shaped solely by aerodynamics and little else.

 

I like the T20 because it's what every hyper-based car in V should've been. Original, striking, loud, and worth the value. Be like nothing else, trying to be the ultimate driver's car. I don't get the same feeling from the Turismo R or the Entity XF. They're kind of underwhelming. And cars like the Adder just feel like afterthoughts. But the T20 just feels special. Every little aspect about it feels and looks like quality. Yes the cockpit is a copy-and-paste from the Comet but hey. It's a change from all of those Banshee interiors. And that spoiler is seductive.

I wouldn't say hate but like mentioned before Zentorno/T20 drivers in heists/missions/races are usually the people you wanna avoid. Same goes for the T20 and armored kuruma in free roam.

 

This is why when I do pub races I usually always put the class to sports because more often then not only the legit clean racers will have a car fully modded in this category. In fr I just drive my street cars or outdated race cars around. Don't see a point to be in fr with the kuruma other than to intentionally be a dick. I don't need a kuruma if I don't want to pvp. PM takes care of that.

To me the Zentorno is both horribly ugly and overused, and thanks to so many morons owning one, seeing a Zentorno at least tells me when a nubcake is around in a mission. If I find a cargobob, I will shamelessly drop any Zentorno I come across into the ocean. I also don't like either the Adder or the real Veyron for their styling, but I don't hate people for driving one in GTA.

 

Dollar sign rims and excessive chrome usually mean I will turn said car into a fireball, unless it is done cleverly or ironically (i.e. an all chrome Voodoo).

 

I don't like seeing Kurumas in free roam, but seeing them in a mission or heist tells me the person is at least taking measures to reduce their chance of dying.
