aimpad
Of the video cards you listed I would go with the R7 250 2GB. For a quick and dirty comparison you could use tomshardware performance charts to give you an idea of general performance differences between modern cards: http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2015-vga-charts/04-Metro-Last-Light-1080p,3667.html
Teletesselator
2GB isn't enough!!!If price is the concern then sacrifice a tiny bit of horsepower for VRAM amount if you can.The cards to look at right now are: NVidia GTX 980 4GB for about $450 - $500 (it doesn't really matter the vendor so just get the least expensive one) NVidia GTX 970 4GB for about $300 - $400 (ditto - also refurbished or used for under $300 is fine - I've never had a problem) AMD R9 295x 4GB for about $400 to $500 (again, brand is not important unless you're hypersensitive about cooling or something) AMD R9 290x 8GB for about $300 to $400 (Yeah, that's not a type-o it's 8GB for that price and probably the best card for GTA-V IMO) Edited September 1, 2015 by Teletesselator

And 2GB is enough for GTA V, especially if you're playing on a low-medium end graphics card. Anyways, OP. What is your graphics card specifically? HD7700 series can mean that it's a HD7730, HD7750, HD7770 or a HD7790. There is not such thing as a "HD7700" card specifically. DentureDynamite
^^ And only a dual-core processor, when a quad core is what you really need to play any serious games out there...fine if you're playing TF2 or CSS:GO, etc., but anything more? Not so much. Edited September 1, 2015 by DentureDynamite
tomstud12
I am building my own pc and i am getting that expensive graphic card's for my pc but this is for my younger brother's pc and he doesn't need a good graphics card so i'm looking for a graphic card to about 100$ and the once i listed looked cheap and good for him and people played on medium setting's on them so i say that's okay for him
aimpad
I still think the R7 250 is going to be your best bet in that price range: Seems perfectly playable at medium settings.
Teletesselator
Yeah, it's good to always include a budget right up front. The CPU is enough for any recent game I've ever played and that's 50 or 60 of the most popular in the past 2 years. 2GB of VRAM is not really enough for GTA-V /AS I ALREADY SAID/ unless you don't mind muddy ugly low-rez cartoonish graphics - but it's probably enough for almost all other games. Good luck finding a good card for $100. You of course can, just that it might be a little time consuming. I'd recommend using ebay with the price filter set to $100 or less and see what comes up. Just briefly checking it looks like you can get GTX 7xx series or R9 270"s for that... Like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZOTAC-GeForce-GTX-750-Ti-Low-Profile-GPU-/191677021873?hash=item2ca0d73eb1 or this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZOTAC-ZT-70605-10M-GeForce-GTX-750-Ti-2GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-Video-Card-/221867947729?hash=item33a85c36d1 or this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-R9-270-GPU-/271967935465?hash=item3f528d5be9 etc. Here's a video I think might be relevant: Edited September 1, 2015 by Teletesselator
Medeiros
A GTX 750 Ti is actually very good for GTA V. I play on high settings at 1440x900 (need to get a new monitor tho ) and get 75 FPS (using NVIDIA's adaptive vsync, and my screen is at 75 Hz), that rarely drop below 55 when there's a lot going on. It usually goes a bit over 100$, you just have to search for the right model (personally, I have the ASUS PH Edition) and your younger brother is good to go. GrandTeaRedemption
Gtx 970, great price great value, even though i think you should go for the
Bitsey
I dunno anything about ATI cards but why would you even consider a GeForce GT? Okay, they are very cheap but the cost-benefit ratio is near zero. And quite frankly, I'm not even sure if you can run GTA5 with one of those. If you're looking for a reasonable budget card, go with what @Medeiros said and save for a GTX750 Ti. I got me myself a Gigabyte GTX750 Ti Black Edition for about 140 EUR and it's rock solid with a neat factory overclocking but still room for some more OC. It's somewhat similar to a GTX660 but with the benefits of a first generation Maxwell chipset. That's also ready for DX12 and by far more power efficient. Seemly
I agree with others, the R7 250 is the best one on the list.

This If you happen to have lets say 7770 card, then I would say that upgrade to R9 250x is pointless, since that card is nearly the same in terms of performance. GTX 750Ti would be a good choice for you OP. its slightly more expensive but buying it will be worth it.
southparkmayor
Its amazing how well GTA V ran on the PS3 and Xbox 360. But somehow needs an i5 to run well.

Um... the cell processor in a ps3 is still some pretty impressive hardware... And the minimum specs for gtav are pretty damn impressive for pc. I mean my friend has a sh*tty mac and is able to play with us at 30fps low/medium Edited September 5, 2015 by Nick930930
