darthYENIK
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/wes-craven-horror-maestro-dies-818806 I'm surprised nobody has posted about this yet. This is a bummer. I was actually just watching People Under the Stairs a few days ago too... I would've posted it earlier, but I was busy all day. He revolutionized the genre. He brought action, and comedy, and some of the most f*cked up imagery to horror. He made us afraid to go to sleep, afraid of that dirt road that could be a short cut. A Nightmare on Elm Street is timeless. I'm going to watch it tonight. In the dark. Just like Wes would've wanted. Rest in peace.

darthYENIK
I forgot about Scream. The first movie wasn't bad. Every kid in the 90s had a ghostface mask. My brother once tried to trick me into thinking a killer was after him. My parents were out, up the street hanging out with some neighbors. I was home alone. Someone called acting like Scream. "What's your favorite scary movie." I immediately knew it was one of his dumb friends. So like a smartass I said, "I don't know, SCREAM." They hung up and my brother called next. He acted like he was being chased. But it was 1997 and no one had cell phones so I was wondering why he was calling me, and why not the police with this phone he was lucky enough to use. He said he was coming home. He came home and burst through the door. As he explained a poorly conceived story about his friends being killed, he failed to notice my eyes glazing over. Then his dumb friend jumped over the back yard fence in my full view, in his full Scream Ghostface costume. The jig was up. I told them, "Nice try", and that I almost wished they weren't so innept at practical joking. I was a smartass 12 year old. Thanks for that, Wes.
