MoMadenU
I would like to be able to load a map just like we can do now with North Yankton, except it would be completely flat with nothing on it. The reason I want to do this is to eliminate every npc, prop, animal, etc. and then make a recording of it. My hope is that the resulting clip file will then be sparse enough to pick out headers, block sizes, and metadata. By ultimately understanding the clip and vid file formats, you can see how this can lead to improving or even replacing the God awful UI of the R* editor, making it behave much more like every other video editor out there we’ve used. alloc8or
Short answer: You can't (except you are able to edit the IPL files in a high level but I guess you are not).

MoMadenU
common.rpf file have folder called stripped in data\levels\. Copy all files from stripped folder to common.rpf\data\levels\gta5. So once the files are copied over , where can I find the IPL(s) and coordinates? All known IPLs and coords: http://pastebin.com/Pc720AjU http://pastebin.com/FyV5mMma Thanks for these links. I wound up simply doing a brute force REMOVE_IPL on every single one I could find (10K+ of them!). It looks really creepy since all peds, props, and vehicles are still around. I'm working removing those now Edited September 4, 2015 by MoMadenU
