You need to get laid bro.

And this random slow wit response was made why?

Serious question.

You should edit out the walls of text next time you post, less sore on the eyes :p

Vik if everyone answered with class like you do I likely wouldnt make asshole comments like I did to redmann. Cheers for that dude, you seem like a good guy. :^:

I think that also answers redmann's question.

Does Rockstar even know about patching the Gate glitch?

im not being rude....

but are you a game programmer?

do YOU know what implications a "harmless" gate glitch may cause? it could cause or lead to a whole bunch of other bugs unknown to us... R* are moderators of THEIR game, if something is messed up then they attempt to fix it

really and truly the gate glitch gave me about 20mins of fun before I moved on, it seemed like the pimp slap from saints row 2 which didn't fit in gta imo

I get that people liked it, but did you ever stop to think it may have caused severe lagging for other players in the lobby? or loss of items etc??

took a little longer to get heists but I'm not complaining because they were worth the wait, in my opinion. In all honesty when I first played GTA online the players didn't bother me all that much(they still don't). I've been a fan of this series since I got GTA III which seems like a millennia ago. One thing I will say that isn't expressed in the video is that rockstar will give the fans what they want, it just takes time.

Cool thread dude. It's neat to look back at this trailer and remember how hyped I was for this game. Now watching it again it makes me wanna start it up and kill something.

Let's see:

- The world never expanded.

- The world is anything but persistent in the MMO sense of the word.

- The Cheetah does not spawn at all, making it impossible to break one's glass and steal it like in the trailer. You may think this is a petty jab, but the traffic variety is severely lacking in GTAO.

- Character customization costs way more than "petty cash", especially after the IGG updates.

- Air and sea races still don't require or benefit from owning the vehicles in question.

- "Just what you do in that world is up to you", *Discovers funny harmless glitch, said glitch instantly patched in the next update*

It's a good game, but nowhere as good as what the trailer would imply.

This sums up my thoughts

kinda cool I actually watched this trailer again a couple days ago. like the gentlemen a few posts above me said, it reminded me how hyped i was for GTAO to launch. back in GTASA i thought, how cool it would be if they made a GTA where you can create your own character..male or female....done (2 characters actually)

what stood out to me when i first saw the trailer was that dominator going in LSC, getting ready to get tricked out

that dude in his garage hopping in his entity. man, a 10 car garage, then 20, then 30 (60 if you got 2 characters) and we can get out of the car and go across the map and it'll save!! : o

the tornado and peyote cruising through vinewood blvd. (yup thats gonna be me I said, in some sort of muscle car, ferrari, corvette, mercedes, or some sh*t)

anyways, like others theres a few things i'd like added, more interiors, houses / mansions, restaurants, clubs, bars, pool, etc. but ya gotta remember..GTAO just got started and a few years from now when we're in san fierro, vice city or venturas..theres a sh*tload of stuff that can/will be added

so with that said, for some of the folks out there who ran outta sh*t to do in this game.. i dunno what to tell ya, and here I am just rambling on about cars lol

Someone should remake that trailer with realistic frame rate, laggy cars bouncing all over the road. Cars spawning in upside down and exploding :p etc lol. That trailer is a loong looong way from realistic on ps4 let alone ps3 which I guess it was supposed to be from.

It's still not the product I wanted, expected, or saw in that trailer. When I first watched the trailer I was full of hype. It was the perfect online GTA experience. The impression I got was that it was going to be a fluid experience where missions took place within the session, giving opportunistic players a chance to snag the winnings for themselves. A world where freedom was the most important thing. A world where the possibilities were endless. I was hyped...then online launched...and what a dog it was. It still hasn't delivered on my expectations...and at this stage it likely never will. By far the biggest crime though is the hand holding and lack of freedom. This is a game that was obviously made for kids...from the inexplicable removal of nudity in the strip club online to the stupid blips telling you what type of vehicle each and every player is in...this game is aimed at the filthy casual kiddie audience.

It's 3:42am and I can't sleep.

My response is....I'm on the fence about it.

Did it meet my requirements? Not at the time when GTAO was released. But now? Sure. We have a sh*t ton of clothing options, cars to buy, some houses and apartments. Access to military grade weapons and vehicles (still can't buy cop cars or taxis or ambulances for some reason, yet), and that's about where I draw the line.

We have countless missions, which I'm sure 99% of us have done all, at least twice. Heists? I'm sure we've done those all in a row, six times...since March. Muggers are only so fun for...1 minute. Cops get real annoying after you firing the first bullet. Bounty chasing looses it's cool when the person hides in his apartment. The actual game chat is horrible as hell, with 8 year olds asking for glitched money or gangstas talking sh*t over the mic. Passive mode shouldn't even have been presented. Make a friendly lobby, and an unfriendly lobby.

It's a really good game, it really is.

It's just gone stale.....fast. I've been ready for the announcement of GTA VI for about six months now.

I love the game, to me the only let downs where:

P2P servers

matchmaking

traffic count and variety

cross platform custom jobs not possible

severe lack of missions and variety

other than those things I think the game is damn near perfect.

Death Anghell

GTA: Online has come along way but it still doesn't feel as exciting as it looked in the trailer. There are still a few things that bug me about the game:

-The city is so lifeless compared to single player. The same four ugly cars spawn everywhere, there's barely any people walking around sometimes, and there is no traffic.

-In free roam I'm the only car on the road sometimes.

-No animals online. My sister said she saw a shark when the game first came out on 360, but we never saw one after that. It's not a big deal but it would be cool to see it look more like single player on the Xbox One/PS4/PC versions.

-Female characters still don't have that many good options for hair and clothing. The variety in clothing could be better for everyone in general. I see gang members in baggy clothes and female pedestrians with different hair than the players.

-The game was far from fluid like in the video and was insanely glitchy on all four consoles for quite sometime. It's improved a lot though.

-The police almost ruin free roam and it takes away from the experience.

The game has improved a lot since it came out in October 2013. It was a complete mess at first and ran like crap for a while on 360/PS3 and on the Xboxe One/PS4 versions when they released. It's more stable now and it's been a fun two years despite all the problems. If they improved on the traffic/pedestrian density, gave more variety in what cars spawn in the street, gave more variety in clothes and hair, and toned down the overly aggressive police the game would be perfect.

Despite me being disappointed in a lot of areas with the game, not many games have held my attention this long. I own the game on three different consoles and have put in at least 500 hours into online since the 360 version came out. I get more excited about the next update than I do about other big games coming out like Xenoblade, Fallout, and Metal Gear Solid. Hopefully Rockstar continues to improve the game and make it an even better experience.

I'll always respect you LL, no matter how much I disagree at times.

In regards to OP, my expectations were halfway met. This trailer hyped me up, and like a fish, I caught the bait. I was excited to play at first, but after a while, I started to see the lack of effort put in by Rockstar and the ignorance of the community.

I must say, these two years have made me more wise about things. I stop caring about what new content to look forward to and rather sit back and take my time with things. The only thing that's been keeping me interested is the racing scene. Beyond that, I'm chill about the rest of the game. My rank is like a badge of honor.

5/10 - I used to hate this game with a passion but I now realize that the problem lies with R* and the community itself. Another reason I rate 5/10 is because I believe truly that somebody at R* truly had a vision of GTAO. And they put so much effort into it. It's just... Corporate pushing and community negligence turned this game into what it is today.

Not even mad any more. I just look back, and keep ranking up till I can't take it any more..

We didn't get those baseball jerseys showcased at 1:37 so It's a major failure. Nothing good about it and no chances to redeem itself. NO

Well .. you may be a retarded sheep who accepts everything and never question anything, but not everyone else is . Rockstar promised us to release heist just after the online mode was available . They released heists on march , 2015 . 1,5 years later than they promised . This is totally unacceptable and inappropriate . Besides the 5 heist that they've released , simply are not enough and unsatisfactory . They should have released much more than 5 heists so far . The other thing is empty city without any animals or people or traffic . How could you be happy about that ? The city must be crowded like single mode in online mode . There must be animals , people , traffic roaming in the roads . What can i do in the map besides killing the other players ?? Why there are so many buildings and mansions if i would'nt enter any one of them ?

I'm amazed by some of the negative comments on here. If I disliked the game as much as some seem to do on here, I simply wouldn't play. The irony is that people bitch about the game but still continue to play. Obviously there's enough positives about the game that they continue to play.

As far as the trailer goes, first time I ever saw it, maybe that's a good thing...LOL, I had no expectations. I've only been playing since January (long story), so the game was what it was. Had I seen the video beforehand, my only critique would've been the heist mention. It gave you the assumption that they would more of a mission style gameplay. Not a big deal overall, because I think Heists added some life back into the game.

The real kicker with the trailer, is that it makes the game look like it's one big happy community all having fun together. I'm still searching for that game..... :p Overall, I think it's a great game and still fun to play.

I don't feel sorry for anyone that chooses to waste their free time playing a game they dislike. If these feelings are truly sincere, coming on a public forum and complaining about a game and still continue to play it, just makes you look foolish. Sure, the game has some shortcomings and could be better, but what game doesn't.

I can look past the simple bitching and moaning, but it's the entitlement some seem to have on here, that I find disturbing. Regardless of what the game has or doesn't have, it's updated across five platforms for "free". If Rockstar decided to make and charge for DLC, then maybe there could be some valid arguments regarding content.

to the people who are saying that we hate the game but still play it Most of us who are criticizing the game and continue to play do NOT hate the game. We are simply acknowledging that some of the things in the trailer were lies and or are not present in GTAO. gta 5 is my favorite game of all time I just think that it's time is coming and rockstar either needs to add a GAME CHANGING update or we need to start thinking about gta 6 we are approaching the halfway point of gta 5s lifespan and if rockstar doesn't start to add more updates the game will die fast. This years fall lineup is extremely strong starting with the release of metal gear solid 5 today. Will GTAO survive? Only time can tell.

I've only played Online (as opposed to story mode) since March 2015 so I can't speak to the first year and a half of Online. I understand that my opinions may not hold weight to some members because of that. However, I'm very pleased with the experience thus far.

I grew up playing III, Vice City and San Andreas; IV updated the formula into the HD universe and V built on that. Usually the game comes out, you play it, beat it. The end. You're either happy to mess around with the game as it is or you're bored and you move on. You want more? Too bad. Wait for the next one. I looked at GTA Online as an unprecedented leap forward. It's an evolving, living world with continuous events, continuous updates, new content. It's never really been like that.

All the new content additions would NOT have happened in a previous iteration of GTA or most games in general. You can't just blow off the new cars/planes/vehicles, clothes, appartments/garages, weapons, missions/activities/races, events, holiday specials, etc as if they didn't happen. Not to mention the massive changes Next (Current) Gen/PC brought to the table overall. Rockstar still cares!!

All this vitriol for "Cockstar" just seems unwarranted.

I took off a point for server issues, loading times, shoddy matchmaking, etc.

I took off another point for the negative GTA community. I expected a little more cooperation amongst players. I've always wondered why kill other players when you have an entire map of NPCs, police (which people still complain about), gang attacks, target vehicles, deathmatches, LTS, captures, missions and heists, etc. It seemed unnecessary. I knew it would be aggressive and violent, but it seems like that's almost all people do in free roam. After coming to GTAF I realize my perspective is that of a very small minority and I've since adopted a kill or be killed mentality. Which is fair, I guess. .

Ultimately,

Yes, I do think what was said in the trailer has been fulfilled, delayed heists notwithstanding.

Yes, it met my expectations.

I gave it an 8/10.
