Don Z McHenry
I always use the hardest difficulty for everything, I never turn it down. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference and its not worth missing out on that 1.5x
Skeve613
Hard difficulty all the way for contact missions. Only time I have diverged from that was when Pick-Up Sticks still showed up as a mission. Heist setups though, sometimes that extra life on normal can make the difference between getting it on one try or wasting 30 extra minutes. Pac Standard Vans and Deliver EMP excluded of course. ibsmokin
While I agree with this rationale if I'm playing with my 200+ character and a low let's say 50 rank joins I will message them or if they have a mic ask them if they are experienced. If they claim to be then I'll ask if they have heavy vest and BP helmet saved as outfit. As well as kuruma. If they do already or are willing to get it I will give them a chance. If I get no answer or they are unwilling to oblige I kick them because I only play on hard. Sometimes this annoys me however because I also have a rank 50 character that I sometimes work on ranking up. It seems most of the time as soon as I get into a heist lobby and the host sees my rank I am kicked. Sometimes and I mean rarely I can get on my mic fast enough to older to them that it is my second character and I in fact have a ton of experience. All necessary equipment and will not die. These people after playing one heist often are glad they didn't kick me because even though I'm low level I will walk away with platinum or gold on almost every setup or heist. What I'm saying is don't always discriminate based on just level. Someone said it already that you need to assess the members of the heist. Even talk to them and it becomes quite easy to weed out the idiots and noobs. I have taught many lower rank players the ins and outs of the jobs and they become quite reliable crew members and even beasts to grind heists with. They just needed a bit of direction out of the gate.
.Vooodu.
I pick normal or hard depending on what missions are being done. Simply because the AI spawns and shooting mechanics are broken in GTA. And putting it on normal can sometimes balance out the bullsh*t. I mean, its not that i can't play everything on hard 24/7, even on solo in free aim. Its just if i play on hard, i have to play more like a bitch and i prefer to have fun instead. And hard also makes me waste all my candy and armor depending on the mission. On hard a AI can shoot you in the pinky toe and you lose nearly all your health.
