Not complaining, just FED UP with Heists dragging GTA online down

Hey Guys,

 

Thanks for all your comments and I wonder if you could do me a quick favour? Launch a 'random job' on your mobile phone and see where you spawn? Do you spawn in a heist planning board, or something else, just to see what you get?

 

The problem isn't with heists as such, but any form of grinding that people use to get cash to pay for the things that Rockstar make available for GTA$ in-game.

It's doing work (grinding) for virtual money. You have to do the same thing over and over again, like in real life. At first heists and contact missions are fun to grind, but over almost TWO years of grinding, OMG, I just can't cope with them any more... and sorry if that comes across as a complaint against Rockstar and heists - it's not. I'm just bored of standing in crowd control with my rocket launcher pointed 30° into the air waiting for demolitions and the hacker to grab the cash. I get 100k-200k for doing this - I DON'T CARE!

 

Grinding is boring, just like real work is boring. You don't have to do it, but if you don't do it you have less cha-ching $$

I have no issues getting full lobbies for races.

It could be like the old days, when you would get Criminal Records every time. Hey, at least it's a race, right?

The new need for speed is coming in a few months and should satisfy all your racing needs.

I'd say custom maps is the main reason i can't stand doing death matches, and to a lesser extent, races. Back before the content creator was released people where happy to play a variety of maps, except for captures. Now, captures are used for rep farming, it's is nothing but something vs car maps in lts, death matches are nothing but a square map with 2 blocks in the middle (although the spawns are sh*t, it is the most balanced type of map)

 

Also joining a custom race sucks. Not only is their a chance that you will miss the boost start because of a bad ping to host, but you are at a huge disadvantage of not knowing the track.

....there are plenty of races going on, maybe not the track you want to race on but there plenty more to choose from. Use the quick race option, if you already are then maybe you need to open some ports or something as I know many who don't have issues on xb1

I agree. I had he game on 360 when it released and there was always people joining all sorts of activities. I moved to Xbox One and it stayed like that until a little bit after heists came out. I sold my Xbox One and bought the game on PS4 to play until I get another Xbox, and all I get now are heist invites. It's hard to find people to do races with now, as well as most other activities.

 

The heists don't pay enough for me to keep doing them after the double RP/cash event. On top of that it's been tough to get a full lobby of people together for a heist mission. It really sucks because I can't unlock all of the car performance upgrades due to nobody wanting to race.

Its the lack of new heists thats actually dragging GTA Online down along with the lack of actually fun activities with good payouts
