FilipCRO
I have recently noticed that there is a GTA V command we can use, its "fxaa 0-3". It determines the FXAA quality. Have a look at this article : http://segmentnext.com/2015/04/16/gta-5-pc-tweaks-guide-to-improve-graphics-and-performance/ I tried making a commandline.txt file in my gta v folder, and I wrote this command in it, but whenever I launch the game, FXAA is disabled in the graphics settings. I enable it again, but I don`t see any difference in antialising.... Anyway, wanted to hear your opinions on this.
kane-wwe
Grass has 6 options(including 0). I thought there were only 4. Can anyone please confirm if there actually are 6 options.
FilipCRO
bump, does anybody know anything about this command (fxaa quality) ?
lydianduck
I think it's nonsense, this article has links to Gta IV mods and there's lots of misinformation in it. I don't think there's such command, if you read it says the highest value requires a very powerful card, which is bs because fxaa can't be that demanding since it's just a cheap post process aa method that takes 1 or 2 frames at most. El Dorado
It's not nonsense, as seen on R* support -fxaa Set FXAA quality (0-3)https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202518358-Available-Command-Lines-for-GTAV-on-PC I think you should set it to 3 via commandline and ignore the in-game option, try -fxaa3 or -fxaa

FilipCRO
Does this command do anything ? I don`t even know if I wrote it correctly. Is it "fxaa3" or "fxaa 3" ....
Viv1d-Shadows
Well if the mechanics of GTA 5's commandline is similar to GTA 4's one it should be "fxaa 3". As to whether it does anything, that I am unsure because; 1. I don't use commandline for GTA 5 (did use it in GTA 4 though) and 2. I use TXAA either that or I don't really care for jagged lines as much as I use too. One thing you can do to compare it, use the Simple Native Trainer, set the time and weather to exactly the same variables (perhaps spawn some cars as well) and try one with "fxaa 3" and another "fxaa 0" or "fxaa 1". Take a couple of screenshots and compare them. Hope this helps
FilipCRO
Well, I found out something. If you put the command "--fxaa 3" in the commandline.txt, and launch the game, FXAA is disabled in the graphics settings and when you go to it, the game asks you if you want to "apply the chosen settings". I click yes. Strange
Spider-Vice
This is because you're overriding its "normal" settings. That means it's working. Maybe -fxaa 3 is already the default option when FXAA is on. FilipCRO 1 let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire!
