cirno90
So I reading the readme txt this is how I followed it : Player models:open playerped.rpf in ...\pc\models\cdimages\activate edit mode if its not already enabledreplace head wdr file with head wdr, feet with feet model, etc...remember to use the replace command.replace all the textures that u need for each body part with the wtd file. its one texture for the entire body, and each bodypart uses that same texture. In case u wodnering, the file ur replaceing WILL NOT RENAME the current file in the rpf archive. Only the contents will be replaced. So to recap, u will replace the bodypart wtd file with the wtd file i nthe player models folder. each one.lastly, replace the player.wft file with the one from the mod. Note: U only need to do this if u are modding TLAD or TBOGT.If ur just modding Niko, u can skip this step. If ur modding Luis or Johnny, then u may need to do this. The bones change a bit... the models here were rigged to niko, sooo..... thats why u replace their skeleton with Niko's!Ped models:For cutscenes, open this archive:..\pc\anim\cutsprops.imgFor in-game peds, open this archive:..\pc\\models\cdimages\componentpeds.imgIm sure u can figure out which character is which to replace with.replace wdd file with the mod's wdd file. Yes the one that says cutscene. The ped wdd file is essentially the same, but with only like head_000_u, the cutscenes sometimes have head_001_u, and some peds have that too, so I figured, eh wth, ynot use the cutscene wdd for everything. Use the facials cutscene, as those have moving mouths and such during speech.replace the corresponding bone (wft) file for the ped u want to mod.for cutscenes, it should be cutscene bones, and for peds, ped bonesnow this last part's important.OPEN the wtd file and REPLACE THE INDIVIDUAL BODY PART TEXTURE ENTRIES INSIDE. DO NOT REPLACE THE WTD FILE! replace the entries inside it with... the png image inside the src folder. like for marisa, u would replace the texture images with marisa.png. You dont need to replace the normal or spec textures. Normal (bump maps) and specular maps are included within the wdd file. They should override the ones in the wtd file. So u only need to replace the texture images that have "diff" in themNote: if u did accidentally replace the ped wtd file with the one from the mod, u will know instantly when the game crashes and refuses to run. Hope u gotta backup archive. I did almost everything it said but I checked it and load the game this how the model looked like I wonder if I did something wrong . Can someone help me correct this error I am new to this modding thing anyway I wanted to make Niko into Alice perfectly without no problems help me. Alvarez
This reads like a good tutorial for a beginner and i'm tempted to help you, but i'm a beginner myself, Cirno. I will attempt it today evening, though until the stumble stone, maybe we figure it out. Until then, thank you for a detailed description.
