Wappsydaisy Posted August 30, 2015 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Hi, I am trying to mod my GTA 5 handling to make trucks accelerate and handle more realistically. I first started experimenting with the Phantom giving it 16 gears to experiment with how that affects acceleration and I found that the game did not seem to change the gear ratios to accommodate 16 gears to reach the max velocity set also in the handling file. No matter what I changed, the truck still wanted to use only 5 gears to reach max speed. I was wondering if anyone could help me get the truck to use appropriate gear ratios. Damn that sucks, I guess most people wouldn't care but there are people who want a mod which gives cars and trucks the appropriate amount of gears and gear ratios -- yes i know what gear ratios are, I've been in 8th grade -_- I read somewhere that in GTA 4 you could add any amount of gears and the ratios would be sorted out by the game so that it would reach the defined top speed in top gear, but so far testing in GTA 5 it doesn't seem to be doing that for the trucks which is annoying but you're right it's not Asetto Corsa, I don't know what I expected I just thought GTA 5 would have the same system for changing gear ratios, or something more advanced but it seems like a step backwards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
