lil weasel
You say you "Down Loaded" the gta_sa.set file? If so that is part of the problem. The set file has to be created by the machine it is used on.

gtafan2u
Deleting the save game slots is ok but deleting of the mods along with is weird if deleting the set file. I don`t think that the gta_sa.set file has to do anything with your installed mods. Onetime when I started playing SA I downloaded a 100% completed save game and installed that and it worked fine. So, I don`t think that it is the problem of the gta_sa.set file.
thehambone
Are you sure you deleted JUST the gta_sa.set file and not everything inside of your "GTA San Andreas User Files" folder? I don`t thinks "GTA San Andreas User Files" has anything to do with the installed mods. THEGTAGUY4, I thinks I have one solution for your save games. Try it. *First check if your "GTA San Andreas User Files" still have the save games. *If they are then, move them to any other location. *Start a new game and save. *Now the gta_sa.set file should have been recreated. *Now again move your save games to the "GTA San Andreas User Files" folder. *If you did everything right then your other save games should again appear in-game. gtafan2u
NUTHING f*ckING NOTHING!!!!!! IT STILL HAS JUST THE BIG SMOKE FILE! If you have the Big Smoke save file then it`s a good thing. Had you tried my described method posted in #11 post? If yes, then has your gta_sa.set file been recreated? If it is recreated then your that Big Smoke save should appear again as usual in-game. maoffense01
gta_sa.set file is the file located in Documents>GTA San Andreas User Files that contains the whole progress of the game. It also records the savegames you've saved. So,it's possible that if you removed gta_sa.set,then the savegames' data will also be removed. And the other reason why your savegames have been deleted maybe because you deleted the file "GTASAsf1-8.b"-this file is the savegame you see when loading a game. So,if it's deleted, then your savegame will gone. And the other one, also the mods have been removed. It's weird. It's so impossible that if you deleted your gta_sa.set,the mods will also be removed. Maybe the reason why your mods have been removed is that you deleted some parts of your cleo folder(some files are "cleo.asi",etc.) Please double-check and post here what files you've deleted. Solution: This problem is very impossible to be solved. But check your "Recycle Bin",some files you deleted will go there,so check the files. Then restore them. Also if you don't know where their original places are, just post here,I'll post where they belongs to. If they're not in your Recycle Bin,then I'm sorry, your problem won't be fixed anymore. You have to download your favorite mods again and start a new game. And next time, don't delete your gta_sa.set,also don't always delete some of your files. Also, try my mod named "Drag". It's the mod when is happenning during a racing. Maybe you'll like it!
