SuperConker
And how excactly did you think a non-Steam version of the game was gonna work on Steam? I got a hint for you, it doesn't. If you want it to work on Steam, you have to buy it on Steam, regardless if you already bought it somewhere else. MarshallRawR
The never ending loading is a common issue, I'm pretty sure you'll find threads about this issue if you use the "search" function. Also, never freaking download files like that off the Internet, that's the best way to get a virus. You're not missing anything in your game, and even if you were, that's not how you fix such issue. Try to find a thread talking about that infinite loading thingy. I'd suggest deleting the file you downloaded and do a verification of your files, correctly: SuperConker

_MK_
Just had this problem 2 hours ago right after removing the -scOfflineOnly code in order to upload a snap to SC where on loading screen SC showed up asking me to sign in and then the game crashed with GTAV.exe has stopped working,so if you're a SP only use -scOfflineOnly to stop this clown DRM from crashing your game. stretchx9
A long short story about Social Club goofing up. This started with the last launcher/maintenance update. I have the Steam version. Sometimes when I start GTAV from either the Steam/Library or the desktop icon and when the "Sign in to Social Club" pops up saying that I have had trouble logging in before and would I log in again. Sometimes it will not accept my login PW (or email) so I close the game ( I have been locked out of the game many times for making repeated login attempts) After a few minutes I start the game again and it asks me to log in, this time it accepts my login and loads my last saved game. Some times it auto logs in, no problem. Now it always loads the game at 800x600, 50hz. I always run the game at 1440p dsr and 144hz however, when I press the "Start" button on my Xbone360 wireless controller to get into settings menu, it immediately asks me to confirm the changes I have made. I press the "A" button on my controller to accept and only now will I be able to go into settings to change resolution and refresh rate. No other settings are affected. I have verified the game cache, erased the SETTINGS.XML and let the game rebuild the file which was fine before, put settings back the way I prefer them to be yet SC still fiddles around with my login and the game still starts at 800x600, 50 hz. Any game saves are made at the resolution I specify. Once into the game is up and running all is well. R* will not issue me a ticket.
