You're just someone who played GTA prior to V. A veteran knows every brand, mission car and has actually played all and preferably completed it 100%.

I really don't get people who say they're bored or R* does not listen to the community, they not only visit GTA Forums, but are registered and some in a gang.

You should be glad that R* is giving you so much updates FOR FRICKING FREE where as your sweet little indie game Minecraft charges you money for a couple of f*cking PIXEL TEXTURES.

The real GTA Vets are not bored I've been playing Sand Andreas since a couple of months after its release, everyday to this day and it is still the most amazing game ever made and GTA Online is close, when it got released I literally played about 12-14 hours a day my playtime only started to decline when these money glitches and the hackers started to come by, it really hurt me that everything I worked hard for is now treated like dirt. Though still to this day I can not play any of these free games that Xbox gives us because I would still rather play GTA ONLINE than any other game.

If you really must hate on somebody hate on the glitches and cheater's, they ruin the game.

Minecraft an indie game? It hasn't been an indie game for a long long while, and Minecraft only does that on Xbox (maybe Playstation) which is controlled by Xbox. And they should take some pages out of Minecraft's book. While I do admit it has been getting a lot better there used to be a rather large lack of communication.

The one thing i'll say about this is when an indie dev says something like "a persistent and continually expanding world", if they just slowly realease more content over years, not months / weeks / days/, the fan base would decline faster than heist full of high randoms.

After 2 years and multiple platform releases I expected more of the GTAO world to be "expanded" to it's fullest potential. Considering R* still have a firm grasp on the online portion yet nothing more than heists and different weapon/vehicle/apartment models have been added.

IF this was an indie game it would not be as good unless they spend 10 years or more developing imo but it would expand much much faster and the devs would probably implement much more of what the fans want instead of just more toys to play the one small minded world we get to play in.

That "persistent & contiually expanding world" talk is the only thing that bothers me about the type of devs we're dealing with. I'd like that statement to be true more than any other R* has made. One more reason why I cry at night.

People today are so hard to please and take things for granted. The fact that games like GTA even exist are amazing. Look what we where playing just a couple of decades ago. Sonic had lousy end game IMO.

OP's point is spot on, at least to me it is.

For the last few months this game's been becoming less and less appealing to me. I don't know, maybe it's the repetitive content, the douchey people you tend to meet in FR, the pandering to the lowest denominator (kids and young teenagers), the way the game plays and works (matchmaking and such) or the way R* treats the game (and the fans to an extent) but I feel myself drifting away from this game and playing others, some more than 10 years old and from 2 generations ago.

I think this GTA could've been so much more if R* approached it in a much different way. With the way R* released the game it seems as if they could've done it better. The first thing that comes to mind is the console it was on, if it came to Xbox One and PS4 only they would've had more time to tweak it and more time to study the consoles and their capabilities, I honestly think that because it was released on last gen consoles is what is/was holding this game back.

The way the game is treated right now is also hurting it. I get it cash cards won't get us amazing content but the content we recieve is so repetitive and wears off really fast. While this is GTA it's obviously going to attract kids and such but if there's something R* could do to keep the the assholes away then they certainly aren't doing it (for starters their anti-cheat system is a complete joke), what makes it worse is that instead of looking to the real fans and better people for comments on what they want in the game they look to the kids and immature retards that play it, I just don't get why R* think that just because they're the biggest 'part' of the fanbase that they're the people they should shape the game for. They're crippling it more by not fixing the game and how it works, the matchmaking is horrible and takes ages plus 9/10 you lag out due to you being "Unable to connect to Rockstar game services", part of the reason is (I've said it before and I'll say it again) P2P, they chose this sh*tty setup over actual servers just to save money, they made millions off of this game and they won't even let us play it on good servers, just shows how much they care for the fans.

Since I don't really find myself wanting to play V that much anymore I've started giving my other games a shot (some their second, third or fourth). About a month ago I downloaded WoT on Xbox One and I haven't looked back since, sure there are AT-2 spammers (most annoying players in the game ) but I've had more fun playing this game than I've had on GTA V in the last 10 months. Another game I've started is Resident Evil Remake and so far it's been amazing (Crimson Heads, not so amazing though ), I loved the first one and playing the remake is like going back to 95'. It's not just been Horrors and war games I've been playing Forza 5 has also been great, just finished a C2 build and it's been really enjoyable turning it from (pretty much) a boat to a track car.

As well as playing WoT and Resident Evil Remake I've also started playing Parasite Eve 1 & 2 again, for me this is one of those games that'll never get old, it's one of my favorite games ever made and I'll never swap it for another. The sad thing is that this game is from 1999 and it's kept me playing since release and has never bored me, I like GTA V (and pretty much all GTA's) but I think it's pretty sad that I barely play it anymore and have substituted it for a 20th century game for the time being.

I just hope that R* returns to the way they used to be (doubt it though) and that with GTA VI they out do IV, it's really sad that they couldn't do it with V, a missed opportunity. I know they made more with V than they did with IV but that still doesn't change the fact that, while everyone bought it, in terms of feel and soul (yes it's cringey, but it explains it the most so deal with it) it's out of it's league.

I know it's pretty long but I couldn't make it that short without fitting in the important parts.
