Yeah...there's no way any GTA game since IV would be indie, much less V.

 

I find it funny people complain about the game and how it's "boring" after 100+ hours of constant play. It's like they expected this game to be eternal.

So they keep adding more sh*t to buy, yet barely add any new ways to make money for sh*t to buy.

 

The problem is, R* doesn't focus on the most important aspects on of the game.

 

Examples: The COPS barely even chase you, they just spawn in front and dive bomb your current driving line. while landing impossible shots in the process.

 

Animals online.... is a MUST. But do not exists and make up north seems lifeless.

 

Auto Aim.... Free aim.. Free aim with auto aim. It doesn't matter.. every aim mode sucks and we all know it.

 

 

 

 

GTA V/O is a superficial game. It looks and sound amazing, and is probably the best looking game ever made. But the actual game play is half ass. And in order to get the most fun out of this game you need to figure it out yourself.

I hate cops in FM but I don't complain because I realize it will not change anything. You say fanboy which is a lazy term IMO. Just like troll and griefer. I enjoyed the DLCs. You did not. Simple as that.

I honestly don't see how it matters if it is an indie game or not. The point in supporting indie games is to support smaller developers that make good games. To make sure people who make good games, keep making them. GTA is more than just a good game, indie or not.

 

Maybe it's just me, but I find it hard to compare GTAO to any other GTA title. It is not the same. It is far more than GTA IV was and no other GTA had an online multiplayer. Even considering that, I can't ever remember R* ever being that forward with their plans for any game. And I can't blame R* for making a game all access. When nearly everyone plays your game, you need to worry about all players, it comes with the territory.

 

I feel the series still don't offer what everyone always wanted(on console). And that is GTASP that can be played with friends. I also don't care for their current view of story telling. The thing I loved the most about GTA was taking over all criminal empires to be the Don so to speak. Being average people on a rampage is just boring.

 

Let us take over the criminal empires and do it with friends.

In all seriousness, R* does kind of suck. They don't communicate to their fans. Their games are fun, well crafted, but lack depth.

 

I am more of a fan of Bethesda, communicate better with their fan base, tries to give the fan base what they want, and more in depth games (although the simplified player stats in Skyrim galled me a bit).

My point is not about hating the COPS. The cops are must. Its the fact that they barely CHASE. They just spawn in front and dive bomb over and over and over and over. I tried making a chase video while back and i could NOT, because they would not chase me unless i slowed down to 20mph and waited for them while i kept the camera on them. And it happens with AI`s on missions too.

 

I never said i did not enjoy the small DLCS. But wheres the meat... Why am i still playing the same missions from 2 years ago while trying to buy new sh*t every couple months.

Most games have a multi-player aspect today so there are more games to divide one's time with.

 

This isn't a hit on the game's longevity, this is the nature of the gaming world as it stands today.

 

You have on nostalgia goggles when talking about how great GTA 4's multi-player was. I found it to be boring.

 

With GTA 4 I beat the game 3 times and played the multi-player twice maybe.

 

This one I still haven't finished the story cause I'm too busy in the multi-player. I have to make myself play SP cause when I log in to play I go directly to MP. And this game has been out for 2 years.

Any game will get boring after nearly 2 years. However, GTA O fails in offering anything to the long term player. The rank unlocks alone are ridiculous - last unlock is at 135 yet your ranks can continue way past that (8000 isn't it?). Then there's the whole update weapons being available for ranks 1 players, whilst some of us had to work to get similar weapons that are at time inferior to the update ones.

As a gamer, I've always supported indie games and their developers, taking risks, being innovative, and the large amount of feedback and community that stems from a small pool of people. IMO, the worst thing R* did in regards to both PR and DR (Developer Relations) was to cave into T2's demands to turn GTA into an "all access" series like many of their other titles under ownership.

 

The same amount of feedback and support R* used to give to the community is long gone, replaced with shameless pandering to the lowest demographic, and breaking what was left of the base into pieces. It's really telling that both long time GTA vets like myself and those who just started are finding this game boring.

 

The continuous lack of information and content, coupled with the lapse of even the most basic security to protect players, is really telling of both R*, T2, gamers, and the gaming industry at large.

(Its sad when your previous title *GTA IV* spent almost 6 years in the top 10 most played MP games among all platforms it was on, while GTA V barely lasted 9 months and has been on the decline. I honestly don't think GTA will be able to hold on through 2016 at this rate unless some major changes across the board are made.)

You're just someone who played GTA prior to V. A veteran knows every brand, mission car and has actually played all and preferably completed it 100%.

You should be glad that R* is giving you so much updates FOR FRICKING FREE where as your sweet little indie game Minecraft charges you money for a couple of f*cking PIXEL TEXTURES.

 

The real GTA Vets are not bored I've been playing Sand Andreas since a couple of months after its release, everyday to this day and it is still the most amazing game ever made and GTA Online is close, when it got released I literally played about 12-14 hours a day my playtime only started to decline when these money glitches and the hackers started to come by, it really hurt me that everything I worked hard for is now treated like dirt. Though still to this day I can not play any of these free games that Xbox gives us because I would still rather play GTA ONLINE than any other game.

 

If you really must hate on somebody hate on the glitches and cheater's, they ruin the game.

The reason there's no animals online is due to game engine limitations & internet optimization. This has been stated and confirmed before but some people are just too stubborn.

I just wanted to say true gamers dont limit themselves to one game. I play other games, but i always come back to gtao. With some patience, friends, and a lil imagination, gtao will never get old (for me anyways). Plus the game is slowly becoming a lot better than when it started.

...and this is the way to be. With jets, if I feel like it, I fight them, and, if not, I switch sessions or do something else. Getting "griefed" is only possible if the one who thinks they're being "griefed" ALLOWS THEMSELVES to be "griefed". If a jet kills me 6 times in a row, that's MY fault because I didn't either blow him out of the sky or leave. Period.

And yes the animals make a HUGE difference. Try driving around up north in single player and see for yourself. They add to the realism of GTA V as a whole, just like the other NPCS. Never said anything about killing anything.

OT : I have also been steering from V for a while and came back a week or 2 later,feels like a new game.

 

There is no problem in taking breaks,try other games,when you come back,it will feel fresh again,and that fuel for grinding is back again.

 

I do,however...agree with the communication.

 

Not being active with the fanbase makes people bored,the 2x heist events are things that should be happening more often in order to keep the community hooked.

Sometimes I wish R* stuck to just singleplayer, or just added co-op. I'm tired of these companies that used to deal only in it, are now trying to branch to branch out into multiplayer for no other reason than profit. Multiplayer is almost completely terrible and they lose their fanbase.

There is still countless others that prefer a stellar SP experience.I mean,look at how the Arkham games sell.

 

Then again,MP is the new cash cow for gaming and is practically a necessity nowadays,which is a pity,because then SP gets held back.
