Money rain

So I just left my eclipse towers appartment and I spawn in the middle of a money rain created by a modder. (These cash bag things) I really dont want to get banned so what do I do? Send a ticket to rockstar or something?

like RedDagger said report it to Rockstar and tell them how much of the glitched/modded money you got and they will remove it and won't ban/punish you for it.

 

They will only ban you (or put you into cheater pool) if you don't report it to them asap.

Correction: They might remove it. I've reported script kiddie "gifted" money twice, asking R* Support to remove it, and they never did on either account.

In the past, a small number of GTA Online players sought to exploit the game by generating and distributing game-breaking amounts of in-game cash, disrupting the experience for other players. Anyone who innocently received GTA$ as a result of these exploits, but did not engage in cheating to acquire it did not face any further action - the funds were just removed, and players were able to keep any items they had owned at that time. Those who actively engaged in cheating and exploiting the game in this manner were, however, subject to in-game penalties at our discretion. This may have included being placed in isolated cheater pools or banned from GTA Online altogether.

 

At this time, you do not need to do anything further and this ticket will resolve on its own. We will continue to issue hotfixes and title updates on an ongoing basis to counter the negative impact this has had on gameplay. We look forward to seeing you Online!

Potentially incorrect. If it's the first time you've "received" script kiddie money, then yes, I would report it just to show good faith on your part; but if it happens again, don't worry about it.

 

Considering who knows how many hundreds of thousands of people (out of 33+ million players) inevitably get "gifted" script kiddie money every day, R* Support simply cannot keep up with all the work that goes into staying on top of this.

 

Yes, I know some people have been unjustifiably banned or put in the cheater's pool for this, but I suspect it's rare, and based more on your overall in-game behavior then a one (or few)-time event(s).

Question: I heard GTA Online cheaters were causing large amounts of modded GTA$ to transfer to innocent players over the past few weeks. Is Rockstar Games aware of this, and what is being done?

Answer: We have received complaints over the past few weeks about cheaters gifting large amounts of GTA$ to others, setting bounty rewards outside game limits, or otherwise attempting to tamper with the GTA Online economy.
