How to maximize money for PS Heist?

So I found this on reddit and wondered if any can confirm it still works or how to do it.

 

1. The basic premise is 1 guy takes the money

2. He stays in the bank as normal

3. We shoot everyone

4. He comes out briefly and goes back in to set the checkmark

5. The rest of us head to the bikes

6. We destroy the bikes.

 

This is where it gets fuzzy for me

 

The reddit article says blow the bikes up and then yourself and then the guy with the money should spawn by the bikes not losing a single $. This didn't work for me.

 

So the other thing I haven't tried, is not kill myself and then go to get the kuruma and in theory go pick up the guy with the money from the bank.

 

Can anyone confirm this works ?

Seems like a good plan until the bikes part..
Seriously: Make an 150k investment on that apartment by the bikes, store an insurgent or Kuruma in there, once you have to get on the bikes, get on them and get off and the car in your garage, you don't have to care about the others(as long as there are any spare lives) as long as the cash is inside the car, then you haul ass to boat.

If you are really that concerned with finding a cheap way to do the heist without losing money, just do the glitch. Drive two bikes south to the parking deck, enter the walk breach, travel under the map to the boat, step off the bikes when you get near the boat. It is an extremely cheap way to do the heist... but you will almost certainly get extra money for completing the Elite challenge.

So on hard you get no extra lives.

 

I have the apartment etc .. I even have two kuruma's and two insurgent and 1 set I keep here. That's not the point, trying to see if we can make it thru without losing a dime.

 

Anyway I may just test the other way when I get a chance.

 

Trying different things, that's all.

I've made it through without losing a dollar doing it several different ways. I made it through without losing a dollar when NOOSE was called by using the swat van. The key is communication. The guy with the money doesn't move until his crew tells him it is all clear. In the alley way, 2 guys go in front and 1 guy stays in the rear to take out cops who spawn behind. Again, the money guy only moves from cover when his team tells him it's clear.

OK so I got a chance to play this tonight and it worked, but I still need to tweak it and do a bit more testing

 

1. 1 guy takes the money

2. He stays in the bank as normal

3. The other 3 players shoot all the cops

4. He comes out briefly and goes back into the bank so he doesn't fail the objective. He STAYS in the bank and does not follow to bikes

5. The rest of us head to the bikes

6. We destroy ALL the bikes

7. Wait 10 seconds and it will change to head to the boat

8. We head into the apartment and grab either the kuruma or the insurgent, I prefer the insurgent. Yes you pretty sae in the insurgent

9. You head out and you GO to the bank and collect the money guy

10. Ok so this is where I need to tweak it. If you head to the boat objective, it will fail and will place ALL of you by the bikes, you all go jump into the kuruma as per normal.

11. I think what we could do here is, once we have the money guy, drive down the alley to the bike area so the money guy doesn't fail the objective and we continue to the boat. I will test this bit out.

12. Avoid hitting any cars, because every time you do a head on collision money guy loses money.

 

Bottom line, it's a pretty safe bet and will maximize your money.

Being so bad you have to lose any chance at the bonus to actually complete the heist. I don't think this is a profitable venture.

We take the bikes and do not lose money. Its all about knowing where the cops spawn and knowing where to move to and when to move. Once you figure the route out, its easy.

I guess I've completed PS over 50 times - easily over 50. Always with difficulty set to "Hard" and almost always with Heist Clothing set to Player Saved Outfits.


The Kuruma & Apartment way is kinda for n00bs IMO. If you have a guy who is failing allot or a cash carrier who doesn't know how to avoid being shot then go for it - it's fun for the person driving anyway.

On average however, we lose less money when we take the bikes and stick to the yellow line. On bikes we lose between 10K and 50K. In a Kuruma we lose between 50K and 100K, and in an Insurgent we lose between 75K and 200K.

What are the tips (in just any old order)?

1. Don't crash the bike even if you have to slow way down.
2. When you're on a straightway with few or no cops be sure to use the bike's turbo-speed (E for KB users).
3. Wear a Heavy Combat suit which you have as a saved outfit.
4. Drive off-road a little bit anytime yo see a standing cop or a white cop car.
5. Fake out the cop cars who try to run into you by aiming right and then passing them on the left (or vice-versa).
6. Yes, put all the money in one bag (one guy takes all).
7. Toward the end just before the tunnel, take the grass hill shortcut instead of the hairpin turn on the dirt road.
8. Have the money carrier be the second guy in the pack - when on the bikes.
9. Have the pack stay close to each other (by watching the mini-map)- there should be 40 or 50 meters between the bikes at all times - and no one passes anyone).
10. Have the best biker carry the cash.
11. Play with folks you know when possible so you're all on the same page.
12. Don't shoot at the police when on the bikes. Mostly, when you shoot at them, they (all) start shooting at you. If you don't then there are only two or three places where they shoot at you - learn where they are and go slightly off-road in those places.
13. Don't shoot the guards or the hostages when inside the bank. You can take out the 1st two guards by getting close behind them and hitting them once with the butt of your gun. And if the Crowd Control members are level 100 they can maintain control simply by holding the rocket launcher - no need to fire a shot.
14. When running to the bikes have the cash carrier be the 3rd guy with one behind him and two in front. The two in front need to kill ALL the cops they see (rocket launcher works best IMO) while the guy taking up the rear needs to kill all the cops he sees spawn behind him.

Maximizing the money is easy in PS... Completing the Elite Challenge on the other hand... :-/

...and if you trade a full ten car garage for it, you'll have a 6 car garage with 4 storage cars, making it, in essence, a ten car garage. I have one 10 and two 6 car garages, but still have 30 vehicles.

just do all what you said, take the bikes, go follow the offroad route next to the so called official route, follow the railtrack at sandy shores, the money guy follows the tunnel while everyone else goes to the first yellow mark by going over the bridge, kill the cops there, drive trough and goes to the jump

then the money guy has to hit the first yellow marker by going trough the tunnel from the oposite way(so he takes 2 tunnels, first the one you go trough when following the train track close to the sawmil, then the other one) after his teammates cleared away so there are no cops for him and he cant be shot, then he also follows the way to the jump, everyone actualy does the jump, looses the cops, lands in the boat and drives off into the ocean.

 

if done well, we are talking about a maximum payout.

 

edit: i didnt invent this tactic and i always go straight to the boat while i carry the money because im not concerned with loosing less then 150 k...im to rich for that and to trusted with my old tactic
