Like: The Immersion. Best in the series and it isn't even close, thanks to the amazing introduction of FPV to the series.

Dislike: f*ck, I can't even remember, but give me 5 minutes of playing the game and I'll bring up a bunch of stuff.

Like: The bullet wounds. On current gen and PC they're very like Max Payne 3's. The knife, hatchet and hammer make different wounds. It's surprisingly brutal, different blood patterns, clothes soaking the blood, shotgun blasts leave big holes, bodies look horrible when burnt, the pool of blood left by a body. Obviously improvements can be made. I used the more gore cheat in GTA 3 :p

Dislike: One shot kill seems to be on. You can shoot police in the foot and it finishes them. Some may survive a really hard hit with the car but not a bullet to the finger. Some might on occasion hold their stomach, after being shot in the knee. RDR had bad guys crawling or limping away and holding their arm if you shot them in the arm. Would be good in V. Damn you Dan Houser.

Nah nah nah Gta 6

The small weapons all have the same animation.

The bat, crowbar have the same animation.

I don't know if it's different on your next gen version.

Crowbar uses a different animation from the bat, the bat you always use 2 hands but you use the crowbar with 1 hand, it shares some animations with the knives, hatchet and bottle but thats it.

The Golf club uses the same animations as the Bat, however.

1. Character customization

DISLIKE!

1. Changes to driving physics over IV

2. Idiotic rate of returns that the players receive on some of their investments, lack of interesting upgrades to Vice city's property feature, Why don't the property missions/calls/texts happen anymore?

3. No random events spawning since

4. Stock exchange

5. Pointless character skills, and useless Chop; the dog.

6. Protagonists: Trevor and Franklin

7. Melee fights

8. Broken and inconsistent stealth mechanics

9. Cops and their actions

10. Heavily scripted and linear story missions, S&F, and RE's lacking a significant amount of replay value

11. Lack of interiors, safehouses and fullproof garages with no stone-age ( dated ) issues like cars disappearing, etc

12. Easter eggs are boring

13. Radio stations

14. The requirements look absolutely kiddish and hilarious in the name of adding replay value at the end of each 'story mission' for 100%.

15. Collectibles

16. Severe drought of interesting, and useful rewards in comparison to classics like Vice city, and San Andreas!

17. Not able to drop weapons, nor delete contacts from phones.

18. Cheat codes

19. Useless races in comparison to variety of race tournaments featured in the classic GTA SA for SP. Shame on Rockstar.

20. Special abilities gimmick

21. Map layout, animals, and lack of things to do after 100%

22. Lastly, GTA ONLINE!

Like: Every weapon you could want, ranging from Sawn off shotguns, Homing Launchers, Hatchets, Miniguns, etc.

Dislike: ALMOST every weapon you could want, Is it really that f*cking hard to implement a flamethrower or Chainsaw?

The chainsaw would probably have the same animations as the bat...or knife...or the bottle... the other knife...or all the other meelee weapons which just have a different texture

I don't think a chainsaw is that small.. And light.

And they have all the same animation when you make the special move. Even the bat. Lol at taking 5 years for this game and even more lol at biggest open world game ever.

The knife has 3 animations, the hatchet has 2 unique animations, for fists there's 5 including the stealth kill. The glass bottle has one of its own, you cut the artery in the neck from behind but it shares the knifes stabbing and throat cut. The hammer and crowbar share, baseball bat and golf club do too but they're both 2 handed so hitting on top of head seems like the good way. The knuckle dusters are just the same as punching but with the sound of them hitting so they're the same as they were in the old games. They remind me of the quick kills from red dead and an old ps2 game called the punisher.

OT: Like: the police, not the aggression although I don't hate that, more the way they react to things. If you use a minigun they might say holy sh*t he has a minigun, or scream retreat and then they do retreat. I like that they scream RPG if you have one and that helicopter pilots try to avoid rockets and gunfire, sometimes so aggressively they crash. They react to other officers getting shot, say things like 'Steve's down!' Police and peds with names :O

Dislike: Peds, while varied with more dialogue than ever, don't have many faces. There's a good amount, it's just the new thing is 6 peds, 4 of them with the same face but different hair and clothes. Not a big thing really, you might not notice if you don't walk or care to look, it's not all the time either but I've seen it a few times, they look like clones. V needs faces.

Like: The amazing atmospheric graphics.

I remember the first day I played the game. I drove Franklin out of Los Santos and upstate to Sandy Shores and somehow ended on the railroad tracks near Stab City. I dodged a train and stopped on the bridge over Cassidy Creek. I was utterly astounded at the view. I didn't have snapmatic (Social Club) at that time to I took out my actual phone to take photo's of the TV screen to show people. I'll never forget that moment.

Dislike: Under the ocean.

Yes, I know it's a very clever use of the graphics engine that supplied the scenery above but the whole under-the-sea sections seem an ill advised waste to me. Just because you can do something Rockstar, doesn't mean you should.

What I like in GTA V.

  • The beautiful game world and the stunning graphics
  • The huge amount of attention to detail
  • Snapmatic! Really had some great, and atmospheric pictures with it.
  • The amazing, intense, and pounding score by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, and Oh No.
  • Michael De Santa. He really is the most grounded character in GTA V.
  • Golf and Tennis. As minigames within the game, I still think that they function and really work well IMO.
  • Vehicle and Character customization
  • Ability to buy cars and garages.

What I dislike about GTA V.

  • The lack of focus and attention to the story.
  • The lack of criminal side activities within the game.
  • The awful and arcadey vehicular handling.
  • Heavily scripted missions and moments.
  • Lack of unscripted random events.
  • Money seems to be useless after completing the game other than vehicles and the likes.
  • The lack of restaurants to eat and replenish health.
  • The rather dull and inconsistent NPC's

Like:

  • The amount of off-road trails

Dislike:

  • The lack of fun and winding canyon backroads. Southern California is well known by enthusiasts, cars and motorcycles alike, for their massive network of winding backroads. There's so many of them and they all very secluded and deserted because most people take either the freeways, 101, or the Pacific Coast Highway. These roads are what I was really looking forward to what with the massive selection of super/sports cars in V but I guess that was asking for too much. All we have is the Great Chaparral and the desert. Nothing north of Lake Alamo. And the Great Ocean Highway is way too congested with slow moving traffic and it sucks that it's mainly 2 lanes as opposed to 4. If it were 4 lanes all of the way up from Los Santos to Paleto then you wouldn't see me complaining, I'd just be passing slow drivers and having fun, but clearly that's not the case and it sucks.

Dislike: The map size, online mode

I really think the map doesn't live up to the hype. LS is much smaller than I expected it to be, the countryside part is somewhat decent but not as big as I thought, but it is still beautiful regardless of the size.

I tried to play online a couple of times but never got the hang of it, I prefer SP. I have 270h of SP since the PC version came out and still counting...

Like: Everything else

Basically, everything else. I liked the story, the gameplay (minus the shooting realism), graphics are good (not as good as the trailers though), and everything else is perfect

Like: That you can talk with pedestrians

Dislike: Pedestrians look generic, there aren't many models, they get aggressive without a reason, GTAIV had much more variety and had also really funny pedestrians.(especially the homeless people)

Like: The variety. It isn't just there's a lot of vehicles although there's over 300 of them. 50 weapons, even things like trees and lightning have an amazing amount of variety, rock faces, even down to the towels on the beach :O Building exteriors aren't copy and pasted. Peds say so many different things although nobody ever seems to hear it. Longest radio so that doesn't get old as fast. Loads of dialogue you don't have to listen to, optional phone calls, dialogue that can be completely missed and probably will be. It shows effort which is good. Or bad. Is effort bad now?

Dislike: The feeling that despite the variety I still want more. More of everything, the game took me 100 hours to complete but I still want more. Not satisfied, will I ever be? Is the question. Which is more me than the game but I can blame the game. Everyone else does :p

Thank God its not as bad as Watch Dogs, that game always had me changing the volumes back and forth thanks to the crappy Audio Mixing.
