Alot of people hate the always on BLIP systems that makes everyone a easy target.

 

Ha, I truly believe that your definition of "a lot of people" would amount to very little compared to the entire GTA Player base. Maybe a lot of GTA players from GTAF may think so and even then, as a small indicator, we have a 3 day old post with only 60 posts...and you and I probably (1) bumped this post to the top many times, and (2) take up a large chunk of those posts. Im just conversing, why should I give up talking? But if you don't want to continue, you can just stop replying. I didn't know you didnt want to talk about this subject since you're replying and stuff. You don't have to reply, you know that right?

Is it because I'm simply stating I understood the reasoning...yeah, that does sound like I'm a Blip Fan Boy (no, I'm not, in case someone misses the sarcasm) I even mentioned to OP that I wouldn't mind trying it, smh. I'm not entirely sure what you're on about. My stance, for the record (since it's gone lost on Hulio), is I don't care about them but I understand why they are the way they are. And for future sake, I don't want to be misunderstood, I wouldn't care if they changed up the Blip system in a future game cuz I still wouldn't care. In that aspect, we're all on the same playing field, who cares.

 

Dude, I think you're making this more about you as opposed to blips. Those gosh darn blips.

Thing is. always ON blips are stupid. And you have not given any reason as to why its needed.

Saying R* knows what its doing is laughable... And saying that the game would be a ghost town without its also funny.

 

And when i brought up two games by R* that didn't always have always on blips, you say you never played them.

You believe I'm defending them. I'm the source of my own comments and I'm telling you I'm not. Lol, but you still think I'm on their side. If there's anything laughable....THAT IS. Let me give you an exaggerated example, if I hear of a father killing his sons murderer due to a drinking and driving incident...I understand why the father killed the drunk driver, but it's against the law to murder someone and he'll have to pay the penalty for that. Am I defending the drunk driver?

- Why are Blips needed, period? Lets exaggerate again...why not remove the blip system all together?

 

I gave an example of Assissins Creed...a game purely made for casuals that has a multiplayer mode. And it's crap...they have a blip system thats not a "Always On" blip. A ghost town it is, and a failed multiplayer experience it is as well.

 

If you don't think a "Always On Blip" doesn't influence more people staying on and coming back than you may not have a full grasp on human behavior. Kids and teens are more valuable to R* because they continue giving money to R* after the initial purchase...they are the age of in-game purchases. And if you want to attract and keep that demo than you need to make a game they want to play and continue playing. And as you agreed with someone else, they want their kills spoon fed because it's easy (or because that's their level of gaming chance their still learning).

 

At this point, remind yourself...Chamber53 is not a Always On Blip fan, he just understands where R* was going with this. Actually, he doesn't even care about the blips, period.

- No, I haven't taken the discussion personal at all. I've seen the little jabs you try to sneak in but that seems to be the norm in this forum (I can easily look past that). Trolling and griefing is going to still be there no matter what. In those cases, you fight fire with fire, it's part of every game.

EDIT: Again, I'm not defending the way Blips are now, I could careless what form they are in and what form they'll be in GTA VI...but I understand why R* went this way.

I still haven't given any reasons why Blips are needed? You most have the head of a bull. Now I'm doing the spoon feeding, in hopes that you can connect the dots on your own.

 

There is a slew of other gaming mechanics that work towards making this a comfortable game for others. The Blip system is just one of them. What's your thoughts on AutoAim? What's your thoughts on the Assault Shotty? What's your thoughts on the Heavy Shotty? What's your thoughts on the Homing Launchers? What's your thoughts on that whole right side panel of weapons, in Ammunation, that can be obtained at any level?

But seriously, you have not given any reasons. You just give excuses as to why it exists.

 

 

I gave reasons as to why it should not exist in current form.. And its true. It ruins any sort of stealth based game play in free roam PVP and allows trolls to target players easily. Yet you ignore those reason .

 

Now when you are asked as to why its needed. You give excuses like "R* knows what its doing. Kids buy cash cards. Players will feel lonely. Those are no actual reason imo for always on blips..

 

Like i said, im not trying to argue with you are make it personal. But when you start stomping around like the blips are perfect then you are gonna run into someone that sure as hell does not agree.

Nah, you're good with the aggression part. It was just a bit odd to me, then anything else. It was nonsensical, to me. FYI, that doesn't mean I think you, yourself, are nonsensical. It was all coming off as though you were trying to prove some kind of point when there wasn't a point to be proven. I assumed you had already read up on my convo with the OP since that's where you pulled me in from.

 

But on topic, it's a pretty damn good game at the same time, as with any game, things can always be improved. I would strongly recommend you check out some FPS titles, while the COD's of the world are starting to back up on the steep learning curves also...you'll probably get what you're looking for with skillful, competitive gameplay. They're gamers are a whole more hardcore. You're either good, or you suck

 

I, personally, consider GTA of having more of a Casual gameplay style. There's some hardcore/beast PvP players out there but it's still mostly ran by casuals and I see why. They're tailored to it.
