Player blips

I wonder if other people agree upon the fact that showing players blips isnt the best thing.

 

Wouldnt it be more fun to have the blips act the way they do in a Deathmatch? You wont

see a players blip unless they make sound within a surten area, or you see them in your field

of vision?

 

People with bounties would be shown aswell, but i realised especially when youre in a beef with

another player, you spawn relatively close by and they can spot you or you can spot them on the mini map and hunt them down.

 

is it something worth mentioning to R*?

Also R wont change it, its years into the game now im sure theyre aware there is other options but why would they cause a couple of people on a forum suggested it?

I think free roam would just become full of sniper's camping on rooftops. Crewmates would just watch the apartment tv and tell each other where the other players are.

Doesn't matter, players would pay him to reveal others. ;)

that makes sense true, but without blips you for sure can see whom is a player, we all drive crazy cars lol so itll be more of a surprise running into someone, and you cant truly anticipate the arrival to another player

Yeah, it would be a thrill...wouldn't mind trying it and see how it is. It would suck if people would simply stay away from each other...I dunno how the majority would play it. Would it be too much to find someone to the point people decide not to bother? I dunno.

I can barely find people with the blips on, it would suck if the were removed. How would you ambush people in shops?

Interaction as in easy targets for jet trolls to see? Im not sure why you would think something as always on BLIPS is a positive thing, when its mostly used for negative things.

 

This is how blips should work.

 

 

There should be an option in the quick menu that allow who sees you.

 

Blips: Everyone, No one, friends, crew, friends and crew. ( you choose how others see you)

 

 

From there only players with WANTED levels on should have their blips up constantly.

 

 

Everyone else should only show up if they are close enough to another player that their shots or explosions on their radar lights up and YOU are in the sound circle.

 

Bounty's should not shot up constantly either.

 

REVEAL player should be used in order to give a quick 1 minute view of all blips.

 

Off the Radar should cancel REVEAL player...and remove the blips when shooting and having a wanted level

 

 

 

No for those who can't figure it out. You can hear gun fights from miles away... you can see the police. Its not hard to find players. But always on blips makes it easy for trolls to troll. And ruins any sort of stealth game play.

Not bothered about the blips, would much rather have the speaking icon show over players levels on the list you bring up by pressing down on the dpad instead of having to pause and check the player list

Yes I wish they'd implement parts of RDR's multiplayer into GTAO's. In hardcore mode aiming was set to free aim and you players only showed up on the map when shooting or sprinting/riding a horse.

 

Being able to form a posse on the spot also allowed you to group up with strangers making it much easier to find friendly players which was nice. Crews in online are too much of a hassle for the majority to mess with I feel.

I'd be interested in a different lobby that hides blips or perhaps it would work like free aim where you change a setting before hopping online, the setting change would put you in lobbies with hidden blips. Just as it does when you change your aim preference setting.

Honestly thought about it then people would camp 24/7 with sniper looking at the stores.

Then rockstar would allow, show all players from lester and that's more pricey then off the radar.

If you're assuming my personal take on blips...I honestly don't care. For me, it was how the game was designed and I don't see it as broken.

 

But again, in the point of view of the R*, I understand why they prefer the blips. It's a large map and players need to interact (negatively or positively) to make sure the game doesn't become a ghost town.

 

Even with your rendition of blips, it would still divvy up the players. As a slight example, Assissins Creed Multiplayer sucks because it feels desolate. People go online because online is more organic, and R* knows this.

 

There's a reason why they don't offer different server "filters" besides the 3 Aiming preferences and why they bumped up the lobby Max from 15 to 30.

if my name does not apear on the screen of other players when they are looking at me i woud consider simply standing in a group of NPC's.....or driving a not visualy modified black and red infernus and a not visualy modified banshee.....and following the traffic rules.

or guarding the "main entrance" at fort zancudo with a tank and kill anyone who wants to enter.

or hide in a bush in the hills.....sertainly i woud not dare to use my zentorno anymore to be fair....

actualy it might ironicaly turn me into someone who kills more from that moment instead of cruising and going after HP vehicles.

 

edit: hell, i woud go full sniper, put mines at the most populair pegasus spawn points, learn to switch between a battle uniform, a uniform with desert like camo, bush like camo, a black outfit and a "npc outfit", trying to fit into any inviroment.

 

more edit: i probably woud have my favorit spots on 4 story rooftops or in bushes or just sitting in a car in some parking lot....maybe a hydra parked 10 to 100 meter away, wired with a sticky bomb, parked close to trees or onto a rooftop......or maybe a matte olive green entity or brown zentorno hidden somewhere close to, and i woud like to have smoke grenades again then......and a jerrycan

I really hate when passive blip glitch and its shows as normal, its just annoying while you flying in hydra and rarely it shows that guy isnt in passive but actually is, thats only issue i have with blips, if there wont be heli/planes blips what would i will shoot down easly?

It already is.

Just make some lunch while your character is in your appartment, big chance some people are waiting for you to leave the appartment, especially when you've a bounty on you.

Even when they're "friendly", and offer you a ride in their car, its to kill others in PvP. lol ain't nobody got time for that.

 

And also, I'm pretty sure R* has no clue what they are doing! They half assed it designed it where everyone shows up on the map, so you can "interact", but yet put a bunch military vehicles, armaments and prominently display K/D stat, where it ensures everyone PVPs in FR. Talk about schizo.

this is how it would have to be. No one is suggesting changing all freeroam lobbies, only adding options to some.

 

For the hundredth time, I'd love no blip free aim lobbies. Wouldn't ruin a thing.
