Elder Maxson
*Since this thead is bout video games, I'll just put this topic here. Mods, feel free to move this if this is in the wrong section.* I'm thinking about selling in my old games to Gamestop. I used to give them to my friend's brother, but since he sold his Xbox 360 to an Xbox One, giving him the old Xbox 360 games I have are currently useless to him. That's why I'm thinking about selling them to Gamestop. This is my first time. How does this process work? Do I need a receipt? How much should money or store credit could I expect? Are there better alternatives? The date of the games range from 2007 to 2011. Edited August 28, 2015 by Scott the Dick
Dottie
How to sell games at gamestop 1. Find games 2. Drive yo ass to gamestop 3. Say you wanna sell some games 4. Receive vending maching money 5. Buy chips 6. Realize that you spent more on gas than what you got for your games Dont sell games to gamestop. Youre wayyyyy better off selling it online or a yard sale Edited August 28, 2015 by Winning001 Flachbau and Payne Killer
Ciaran
I wouldn't even bother going to GameStop. They'll only give you 5e for all your games lol. When I was selling some old games of mine, I went on FaceBook and sold them on there. Flachbau
I recommend using Amazon trade-in or even Craigslist if you have to. GameStop rips you off.
ArmoredxApple
Like the others have said, you'd be way better off selling them off of ebay or some other site like that, you will get way more money for your games. If you do still want to sell them to gamestop though, then all you have do do is bring any games you want to sell and tell them you want to trade them in, then you can choose between cash or store credit, which if you get store credit i think you get somewhere like 10% more money. darthYENIK
Just bring them to a store. There are a couple things to consider. I don't think they buy old sports games. So don't bring in FIFA 2010 or anything like that. You won't get much money for the games, so just prepare yourself to be underwhelmed. I recently traded in Fallout 3, New Vegas, Assassin's Creed IV, and a couple others I can't remember, and all I got was $8 credit. You will get more credit than you can get cash. And I also think you get more back if you trade the games in for a new game. I use it because I don't really care how much I get back. I generally just trade them in to get a new game or console. It's also a lot easier than posting an ad on craigslist. Just bring them in and its done.
Zello
If you just want to make some extra space I'd say trade them all in now eventually they will stop taking 360 games I'm thinking about trading in some old games before it's too late. Don't expect them to give you a lot of money for them though you will have better luck selling them online Edited August 28, 2015 by Zello
Shadowfennekin
I usually keep all my games and consoles even if I don't play it much(*looks at Gat out of Hell*). I usually buy "new" as in used games in cheap bundles at yard sales or Craigslist though, pick what I like after I get home and take the rest to Gamestop if it's worth nothing to bother selling it on Ebay(Like a few bucks....) and use the tradein to get money saved on whatever game is coming I want. It's really the only way to get rid of Sport games
bloatedsack
It's true, you won't get jack for trade. I eventually just stuck things on Craigslist, but then you're dealing with flakes, no shows, and every sort of two bit spendthrift under the sun. When you get tired of dealing with Internet aholes, you'll end up with a bundle of junk at teh Gamestop counter where you'll get pennies for your games, but at least you've cleaned out that drawer. So, in short, expect to be pissed off or underwhelmed at every turn.
Vaulttec
I own my own business selling and buying used games(Nintendo till ps4) and let me tell you gamestop is a ripoff unless you have some really obscure games you are better if selling them to a guy like me I generally give you 35-40% of the value depending on how many I got. (i generally like to deal in Nintendo games-ps2)

Hit by Lightning
I've had a really bad experience when I tried to sell my PS3 games ( I think it was like 23 games or something). I posted everywhere in my little town and even called the local gaming shop. No response for over a month apart from a guy who called me to enquire about Watch Dogs. I ended up giving it to my neighbour's son (he's 11). The little bastard took his time, sold the games individually to his friends ,made around £50 then bought an Xbox 360 It doesn't worth wasting your time plus you will receive a fraction of what you've paid anyway. If I were you I'd just give it to a charity! Edited August 28, 2015 by Hit by Lightning
Linerax
OP, you can do better with a yard sale or sell the games on eBay. Trillest
