"Snapmatic Integration: Now you can export any still frame at a marker point straight to Snapmatic, giving you ultimate freedom when searching for that perfect camera angle." My english is okay IMO but for some reason I didn't get what they said here, can someone explain to me in other words?

Basically it means you can take snapmatic pics with a free cam, rather than your phone. A great addition, I might add. :) Like in Forza? That would be great!

access to all cheats, weapons, vehicles(now air and sea have been added exclusively to next gen sorry PC bros)

They said the PC will get the same features but we can use trainers to spawn in any vehicle we want.

They better bump the resolution of Snapmatic up. Probably won't happen anyway due to Spaghetti code, but oh well.

Since the next Forza is released the 15th, might as well play that until a good content DLC is relased again by R*.

Why is Rockstar so god damn slow at releasing updates this year? By this time last year we had 6 content updates (Not counting 2013) added to GTA Online (7 if you want to count The Capture Creator) and they were released back to back monthly.

This year, all we've gotten so far 8 months in are the Heists and Ill-Gotten Gains. Yes, they're both quite substantial updates but I'd much rather Rockstar release decently sized updates like in 2014 and release them every other month. All this waiting knowing their only focus is this game anyways is frustrating, not to mention the Story DLC almost seems like a myth at this point.

What the hell else are they working on that's taking them so much time to release updates? 2014 they were busy with next gen development and Heists and still we received 8 content updates in the 12 months of that year. I can only assume they're working on announcing their next game soon as Story DLC would not a chance in hell take this much time away from releasing content updates.

Valentine's Day,Business, High Life, Hipster, Independence Day updates were ALL quality and released next to each other monthly. Flight School and LTS were bullsh*t but The Festive Surprise made up for it.

Rockstar's sacrificing the frequency of updates for more content in them which would be fine if they weren't so ass deep into GTA Online. That's the only thing they've been focusing, advertising, and working on so I think we are in a way entitled to at least one update a month. We are paying for it monthly after all.

You are not entitled to anything. You bought the damn game, good for you. How about instead of being an ungrateful douche, you realise that R* didn't have to release anything with those updates, or they could have demanded we pay for them. I'm not sure what you are paying for, but I'm not paying for a damn thing.

Yes we are entitled to more updates, especially if we paid full price for the games twice or even thrice. Hell, even after paying once we're entitled to it because Rockstar themselves probably constant updates to Online. After 2014, there's been nothing 'constant' about these updates. Just a huge update every now then out of the blue moon.

I wouldn't be mad if they let us know they're working on other games but as it stands, they've only been focusing on this game so we deserve monthly updates at the very least. Hell, we haven't even received Story DLC or anything for Single Player but I don't have the energy to care about that anymore, Online is clearly the future.

The least they could do is add updates monthly to keep Online 'ever evolving' as they once upon a time said instead of putting out updates only when they feel like it, regardless of what anyone else thinks. For a company that claims its so devoted to its fans, we've seen anything but from their actions.

Talking about paying for PS Plus/Xbox Live to play Online. I'm guessing you're on PC or PS3 so I didn't expect you to understand.

Again. No we're not. No one forced you to buy this game. You are a true blue dumb ass. You would rather have small inconsequential updates than have something major. Again, they DON'T have to release anything with the updates, an update is designed to fix the game. Every game has updates yo it. You don't see BF4 or CoD releasing free new guns and new camos every time they fix something.

Lol R* isn't like every other company. They usually don't open their big mouths and commit to something before they are sure it's going to happen.

I buy yearly XBL. So I spend 60 once and that money goes to Microsoft, not R*. Don't assume. It just makes you look like an ass when you're wrong.

I can honestly say I hate people like you, the type of person you are, is what is wrong with this world.

This insolent f*ck doesn't realize we're primarily the reason Rockstar is still in business, the fans are the ones that fund all their games lol

BF and CoD are sh*tty annual franchises, GTA isn't. Why this dumb f*ck is comparing these franchises to GTA in any fashion, shape or form is astounding.

It's a shame. You pay your monthly fee for Social Club to play online, buy all the cars and other items with real money, buy a new GTA every year, watch all the advertisements and then they only update a two year old game every two months.

This is like buying a movie, watching it 200 times and then asking the director to add something because you got bored. Where does this attitude come from? There was a time when decent movies had no sequels and games not even had patches and bugfixes.

I agree that they could have extended IGG into four parts, but then people see another shark card conspiricy.

And I also think that R* should change their ways after the success of V, which to my mind is the success of GTAO amongst a minor playerbase. The GTA franchise was always popular amongst 13+ year olds, but now they are younger and don't care about the awesome single player at all. Single player DLCs wont sell like TBOGT or TLAD anymore. A new/old map for GTAO would and is also less expensive to develop. SP DLCs for IV worked, because MP was almost as bad as the SAMP mods were (to be fair, they were great for the time of SA). And Niko was to my mind a very annoying character. Fix your accent!

The storyline and characters of V are the best i`ve seen in a video game, but the story is told. It is what it is now, this game is played by 10 year olds that buy virtual booster packs for sh*tty games. Take their parents money, R*!

Talking of BF4, IIRC the last patch added a bunch of guns for free. Also BF Hardline added the Tommy gun for everyone and there's going to be 7 new free guns for everyone when the new DLC drops, doesn't matter if you have it or not.

And about GTA Online, well, they told us in the trailer that it was going to be a living and constantly changing world. The least I expect from them is to add new content to said world.

Okay, lets look at it in a different way. We're not entitled to updates. I will say this though, there was a s***-ton of discussion way back when about how this would be an "evolving world", and the evolving world has evolved largely in the manner that it has more and varied cars within it.

I love this game and have a ridiculous amount of time played, but every time I play it, there is the gnawing feeling of such unfulfilled promise, from the lack of really any interiors to little in the way of new free roam activities (casino or otherwise.)

Rushing after the smuggler plane isn't something I'd even do if it didn't pay $30k. Sitting in a circle and getting wailed on by cops for Lester for 5 minutes for $10k has already lost its appeal aside from perhaps if I have nothing else to do and my Hydra is nearby.

Oooh, wait, there's a target car for Gerald...who will pay me a measly $2k.

199.gif

A lot of updates have been things like clothes and re-skinned cars. I remember people were excited about the High Life Update and new apartments and there was the discussion of which buildings may be the new apartments because "they're saying there's new apartments, it must mean literally new buildings, right? right?". We got more expensive apartments with less in the way of views in the same buildings. That to me kind of represents a lot of the updates that have come since launch, aside from "Heists". Honestly, when updates promise something more considerable, I don't get my hopes up anymore that they will be more than the minimum effort required to present the idea. We get houses, yay everyone, houses! Oh wait, they're the same interior as the mid-level apartments.

"Heists" were great (although even they had their share of issues), but there's been a lot that has been the minimum. There's been things that have been plain stupid (the "off radar" announcement to the rest of the lobby that you are off radar is idiotic) and things that have been "fixed" (like closing the police station, which is about as pissed off as I've ever been with R*) ahead of real problems that remain untouched. Things that sit largely unused (does anyone really do arm wrestling?) haven't been removed in favor of other things (I've posted a ton of ideas before, including basketball.) Why aren't darts in the apartments, instead?

There are times when I think I'd much rather have paid for DLC in this game if it meant more effort and creativity and inspiration would have been put into updates all along. Maybe it wouldn't have, who knows.

Perhaps they are dragging on updates in order to extend play for people on 360/PS3 before getting to the point where they will really explore the potential of current gen for more extensive updates that are current gen only. Do I really believe that/am I going to get my hopes up?

407.gif

Additionally, the communication from R* is lackluster at best.

So, no, R* has no obligation to deliver updates, but fans who have bought the game once, twice (and in some cases thrice) may think twice again before buying the next one. Or, at the very least, the lack of interesting updates will get to a point sooner than later where more and more people will simply move on to other things. That's probably already begun to a noticeable degree.

The game needs a refresh in free roam. It does not need a half dozen more car and clothes updates.

I can't bite my tongue about this nonsense anymore. So tired of you bawling babies. Let's take a few things point by point:

- Does Rockstar owe us regular (or any) updates? No. Free DLC isn't an expected part of any multiplayer game and it wasn't promised in bold letters on the game box. They have made statements that the game would "evolve," and it has - repeatedly. That doesn't mean you are guaranteed one update of some kind every month. Your expectation is ridiculous.

- Has GTA:O evolved enough? I'd say so. In less than two years the game has had fourteen updates. That's averaging more than one every two months. Even if you subtract the first Christmas update (because all the content was temporary) and count Ill Gotten Gains as one update in two parts, they're still averaging one every two months. So what are we crying about?

- Has GTA:O evolved enough (part 2)? The biggest, loudest whines heard 'round this board daily are "the updates are just more cars" or "the updates are stuff I don't care about." Here's the complete list of what they've added since initial launch:

1. Content creator (multiple game modes). 2. Heists. 3. Four random free roam events (smuggler plane, distract cops, kill target, destroy vehicle). 4. Eleven contact missions. 5. God knows how many parachute jumps, deathmatches, races, survivals and whatnot (I don't play a lot of the other game modes much and it's hard to find the info online). 6. Flight school. 7. Over a dozen planes, helicopters, boats, and other Pegasus vehicles. 8. New apartment interior and several new properties to buy. 9. Ability to own a second and third property. 10. A new phone ability (blind eye for Lester). 11. Eighteen new weapons. 12. Forty-some new cars and motorcycles. (Seriously, it's a ton.) 13. Several new game modes and multiple jobs for those. 14. Untold numbers of clothes and masks (the quantity of these vs. launch has easily tripled or better). 15. New player animations. 16. Soon, the editor, and who knows what else. 17. Garage rearranger and assorted other small-but-useful features that people wanted and then immediately took for granted after they were added.

Is that the tip of the iceberg? Of course. This is the kind of game that could be updated infinitely - you could add almost anything to it. But the people who keep saying they've added very little, or just added reskinned cars and that's it, are simply not speaking the truth.

- Why have we had so few updates this year? Well, let's see. First of all, this is now a two year old game (one year old for current gen, but even if you started there you should know the deal; your copy of the game arrived with a year of updates built into it). Second, heists and PC were both major undertakings that probably made it hard to work on other stuff. Third, we've still gotten three updates this year (will be four next month, and could be 5-6 by the end of the year), and one of them (heists) was the equivalent of 3 other regular updates, given all the content that was in it.

- Should we even buy the next Rockstar game? Well that's a personal decision for you to make, but rest assured, I and many others feel like we got our money's worth (and then some) out of GTA V/Online, and Rockstar absolutely does not fear your boycott based on the ongoing interest in this game. Lots of people are still playing it, and lots of cash cards are still being sold. So you do what you feel you gotta do, but do the rest of us a favor, and try to get some goddamn perspective. You're not on some kind of holy quest here, just because they didn't add yachts or enough contact missions or whatever other damn thing you feel you're entitled to.

Most lack perspective. Great post.

The customer is always right though ;)

I realize you're joking, but: that's a mantra used by the service industry to keep their disinterested teenage workforce from doing anything stupid. A more reality-based version would be, "75% of the time the customer is right, and 25% of the time they're a raving-mad moron who won't be happy until you've perfected a process for gold-plating their own sh*t, even though what you sell is hamburgers."

How bad is everyone's internet connection that they're in the clouds all the time? I'm literally only in the clouds for maybe 30 seconds, and my internet is sh*t.
