Why are bad sport lobbies necessary in game like GTA?

Because there are people who like to blow sh*t up and cause mayhem, and there are people who like to just have fun without the first group of people rudely interrupting them with an RPG. Those people can have their fun in the Bad Sport lobby.

If you're not in passive, you are looking for something to shoot regardless of whether or not you are in your car (not completely applicable on LG). BS is really counterintuitive considering many players are much more adept at combat in their vehicles than on foot. I think it makes sense for chronic heist quitters... in which case r* should just add the duffle bag to the clothes store.

What makes you think I'm not getting my money's worth? Because I enjoy rampages and messing sh*t up in a video game about being sort of insane? Killing and blowing stuff up isn't the only thing I do. I've done everything that GTA Online has to offer. I do jobs and missions. How could I have possibly gotten to my rank and get all my sh*t by staying in freemode all day? You seem to have washed your hands of your "Rockstar is dumb", "people are pussies" claims. Why are bad sport lobbies needed in games like GTA? I can't think of a game where they are needed more. Like I said, in an sandbox online game like this one people expect to be able to play the game the way they want to play it. With other like minded individuals. You say you have experinced everything there is in the game, and you choose to stick to the killing most of all. I prefer doing more things in one session. Unfortunaltely, people like you tend to deliberately prevent me from enjoying my peace. And there are many people who try to do that. Don't get me wrong, most of them end up leaving the lobbie, but at that point I have already wasted enough time doing what I wasn't planing on doing. Nor enjoyed it as much I as I would have liked to.

Now, imagine how it would be like if all the houndreds of thousands of bad sport players weren't in BS lobbies. All the cheaters, the dirty players, modders who think they're Gods... all the scum who's main source of fun is trying to piss you off, and ruin your fun. Imagine even more players like theese "fine gentlemen" occupying your lobbie. What we're left with are two options. Either playing solo, or doing stuff I don't find fun all the f*cking time.

Now you tell me just one reson why BS lobbies, or passive mode, should be removed? Because of your hot temper? So you can waste your modded money on blowing people's cars up, just because you can? Give me just one Goddamn reason, insted of dodging the subject in such a clumsy way.

And NO, killing is not the main thing to do in the game. If this OPINION of yours is based off of Single player then I'd have to start calling you stupid again. Because, for one, Single player and Multipayer are not the same. Killing NPC's and killing other players is not the same. Playing missions, where killing computer controlled characters is the objective, and driving arround in FREE ROAM killing other players is NOT THE SAME. The are plenty of other options and activities that you can do to become a sucess.

And here, my friends, is the REAL issue with the current BS. Its totally broken and useless. They should revert it to the original way ages ago and outright ban all the modders/cheaters in the Pool, or just flat out ban the kiddies and replace Bad Sport with Friendly Fire OFF where you can only harms friends and crewmates IF they toggle the "Friendly Fire ON for [friends/crew/ friend+crew/none] on.

Reasons that make sense...means they make sense. You guys seems to just accept any old reason that makes no sense.

 

Reason # 1: To stop PVs from being destroyed

Reality: Nearly every player attacks from PVs using BS against the players they attack

 

 

Reason # 2: To stop players from quitting

Reality: So many trolls and obnoxious players in jobs that sometimes you have to leave. Also sometimes you have to leave for a reason when playing with friends, and you still get BS.

 

Reason # 3. Reporting players

Reality: Anyone can report anyone for any reason. And if that player has some friends to join in they can all report for what ever reason.

 

 

So basically BS is not necessary and can be used against players.

 

Also the fact is, we have passive mode, we have weapons for self defense. And we have the option to play in NON public lobbies.

 

R* allows us to hold so many explosives and weapons. They are the ones that put always on BLIPS on the map. They are the ones that give as rewards for pvp. They encourage it. And yet they want to punish the players.

 

If anything they should have added a care bare lobby for you tender, emotional players to play in. Because the reasoning for some of you players is pretty funny.
