Hi everyone i found this thread just now, i don't know if there is a better topic to post that but since day 1 on pc i wish holden efijy and i made it with my team DCE.

Hello there!

 

I'm not the kind of guy to request something, usually I try to do things by myself just because I like understanding things :)

 

But, this time, I've got to make JUST ONE REQUEST to car modders -> Please do proper LOD's for your car models!!!

Nothing more frustrating than seeing a car appearing 15m away (apparently LOD-ng distance specified in vehicles.meta), and I dont' want to mess with those LOD distances in vehicles.meta as it will make game crash at some point.

Ok, I'm talking about the worst thing that could happen without proper LOD's, but seeing wheels disappearing at L2 or L3 distance as well is not very pleasant :p

 

Is it really hard to create all the LOD's needed? And about how much time would be needed to do so?

 

And thanks guys for all your work, thanks to you I have now a really beautiful and pleasant game!!! :^:

Hello! Did you try the model from Baba0rum?

Because I'm using it, and it seems not causing any crash or anything, the model does even have some LOD's :)

There's also the model from Ahmeda1999, but it's based on Bab0rum model, and it lacks LOD's... (the car appears blocky until 15m away)

LODs are easy to create and important to build a performence stable car mod! The most modders here are not skilled as much and don't care about the quality. Crashes come across if the modder delete some important model informations because he thinks that it is not useful like wheelmesh_lf_L1

 

But some modders like my friend GTA5KoRn don't create LODs sometimes because the MB size to upload

Indeed, I can understand some of the reasons why modders don't include all LOD's (and even when they do, wheels still disappear at L3 distance most of the time...), but still, that doesn't solve my need to have models with proper LOD's in order to replace all cars that naturally pop ingame :)

 

So, you also do confirm that models which do not include proper LOD's (and not only for wheels) have a tendency to lead the game to crash? 'Cause indeed it seems that is what happens!

If so, at least you can confirm what I think, so I'm changing my way of doing it :)

 

And lastly, why do models having wheelmesh_if_L0, wheelmesh_if_L1, wheelmesh_if_L2, wheelmesh_if_ng, stil have disappearing wheels at about 90m distance? (I think it is the third LOD distance specified in vehicles.meta)

we already have V cars to SA.. but what about the total opposite... remake of SA(and before) Cars in HD Universe.. I know some of them made their way through GTA IV back in time but now I feel like they are needed more than ever.. I had that in mind when the Import Export DLC came out .. with all these new cars and especially the Elegy Retro Custom which is basically an HD version of the SA Elegy

I posted in the thread of the Classic Cheetah thread and in the Classic Turismo thread right in there to check developpement of these...

yeaah yeaahh I know..I kinda have a weird comeback to my head with these old GTA Cars... and want to have a couple of them... (if I had the damn hardware to support it then I'll be rocking IVPack for GTA V... but I can't..[College student life... I have a FX6120+xFx R9 270x+8GB of RAM... this crash from time to time for no reasons......]) the only thing that is working in the IVPack for me / that does NOT crash the game, is the gameconfig file... that allow me to add cars since I tried all others on GTA5Mods and they all crash my game.. right now I have a V8 swapped drift Chavos (messed a bit with its handling file and vehicle.meta) the CLASSIC Cheetah from here (which I finally managed to install successfully) the 2 classic Patriot (standard and military version) a Sultan RS that looks like a van a Contender in Trophy Truck version a Warenner UTE and a modified version of the Titan that shoot missiles, minigun and that can land on water... all these as addons..


I want more classics... like IDK... an HD version of the
old ZR350 by example would be cool to have the RX-7 based car back in V along with the Flash which is I think based on a VW Golf I would also like to see a totally made from scratch Mazda MX5 inspired car to fit the GTA V Universe...

Can someone properly convert this GTAIV S65 version for V?

There is one model for V, but quality isn't like this one from 4.

 

And if someone can fix wheels on this 911, they are too big

I am using this code which works for any of the cars from GTA5. However, when I select an aircraft say bersa, it doesn't work well, which I mean is not smart enough and seems the game AI is very off. I wonder if you know how can I change it so that it will work for an aircraft and also soar high rather than being on land?
*If you could also link me to possibly existing code that would be great as well.

Can some please​ convert this mod from San Andreas?

Nothing special, not a Lamborghini, or an Aston Martin, but a simple car that I have a lot of memories with.
​Will be utterly grateful. Thank you. The San Andreas model is fine enough, just convert it for GTA V please.

Also, if possible, keep the right-hand drive layout intact, so that we can actually use that in GTA V like we had it in San Andreas.
