PS3 Controller Issue

I have 2 controllers and I have the exact same problem with each of them, while using the weapon wheel on GTA V and GTA Online.

Whenever I attempt to select a new weapon and I click "right" on the D-pad, nothing happens; only clicking "left" works. After selecting my gun, with the left D-pad arrow, the controller ends up almost always selecting the gun selection directly to the right of my choice, even after I've let go of the controls. Hopefully that makes sense.

I have the same issue when I try to selecting things from my inventory, after hitting the select button.

The "right arrow" on the D-pad seems to work fine on the pause menu. What could be going wrong? This has seemed to be getting worse over the past couple of months.

Have other players ran into the same problem? Hopefully someone can help me here!

I have a very similar problem with my PS3 control pad. Over the last 3 or 4 months it seems to have developed an issue where the right button doesn't do anything in the weapon wheel so I can only scroll through the guns using the left button. The right D pad button still works okay though for other tasks such as using the headlights in a car or dropping the hook on a cargobob. It just seems to be a problem with the weapon wheel. Occasionally the right button will be working okay even in the weapon wheel but usually I have the issue. Today it actually took a new twist where the right button was working in the weapon wheel but not the left. Really not sure what to make of it although it is kind of reassuring to know someone else is having a similar issue.

Faulty button...for me it was my L2,it would stick a bit from dropping it.one time I was driving and I would see my brake lights light up when I hit the gas(R2)?!

But before that I was having the weapon wheel problemme you guys were having and it would drive me nuts,so I banged side of control, heard L2 pop into place, problem solved...

Just check controller for sticking buttons..hope it helps guys

Thanks for your reply. I used to think that it was the button sticking, but now I don't think that's the case. Plus, this happens with both my my controllers. They only have an issue with the weapon wheel. The same buttons work perfectly fine in the menu and have no issues on any other games or apps on the PS3. It's pretty frustrating to deal with when I'm in a shootout.
