You don't lose all mouse control. Just the mouse look. RMB still works as target lock on and LMB as fire.

Mr. Boredom 1603, well, people still can use standart PC controls without additional xbox skeletal animations, but now with much better quality Claude and ped models ))

And I know standard controls are still usable - I will use them, as I prefer to have mouse movement. But I still wouldn't mind a new camera system.

Maybe something like ThirteenAG's vehicle camera movement, but on foot.

PS2 catalina head on xbox skinned body. (Only IG, couldn't get working cutscene head without catalina becoming ayylien)

Yeah, it works fine with Mod Loader.. In fact i'm using the XBOX Map, Vehicles.. etc with mod loader.

 

EDIT: I'm also rendering a short 1440p gameplay video right now with the complete xbox package.

 

EDIT2: (7:10) you can't really punch other npcs.

can you tell me how to install xbox map? full readme so to get xbox map working with cutscenes and all that stuff

Well it's pretty easy to install.. Just create a new folder inside the modfolder directory and extract all files inside the xbox_map.img to the new created folder and also the other files which are inside the archive.

I just throwed all aap's mods inside one folder, so i can switch between the PS2 & stock version.

It kinda is a disaster right now to get this working completely (if you don't know what mods you need).. Maybe aap will do a complete XBOX package if everything is done or just wait for rmws. XBOX HD mod.

But the worst thing right now is FLA.. which is still kinda buggy with GTA 3. It causes a lot of frame drops if you use it with Mod Loader.

 

I'm really happy that we finally have a real xbox port for pc though, i really waited a long time for this.. :)

Yeah, only was possible by aap. Maybe @Silent could do it too, but now he has a job and he do the things with a exchange or better named free decisions. Nah just kidding, Silent's work is amazing as aap's work too.

and the updated sfx sounds.. even though i don't really care about it since the horn sounds like sh*t :D But yeah the original particles would be nice too.

I can do that :D But until my 3DS Max installation is done, the whole topic is full of shotgunless playerx.

EDIT; Okay, the model is done, but unfortunately i don't really know how to export GTA 3 skinned .DFFs

(I'm using your .DFF importer, which is actually pretty good since it can import skinned xbox models without problems)

Nice! I already tried to make a playerx model based on the xbox version .. but aap's .DFF exporter breaks the bones and objects. It only exports the main object (Object001).. I already tried all options but it just doesn't work.

 

That actually looks pretty cool, i should create a background of it or so :D
