I know a way to get around the memory leak until R* fixes the issue:

You have to allocate your memory usage by going to Control Panel and then Systems from Systems and Security. Once there, go to Advanced System Settings and go to Performance Settings. Afterwards click Change from Virtual Memory and change it from 4000 and 8000 to 2000 and 4000 and click Set. Restart your PC to allow it to happen and you should have no problems booting up the game. Be careful though; any browsers you have left it open while GTA V is running will result in a memory leak error UNLESS you're sure that your RAM is good enough to handle multiple browsers and GTA V at once. Other than that, you should have no problems and be playing it for hours with little RAM usage.

Hope that helps. :)

I'm pretty sure you can just Alt Tab instead, if this memory leak is what's causing massive fps drops in the game.

True, but it sometimes doesn't work. Regardless, that works too.

If anyone is having issues where Windows closes V for memory usage (which is f*cking stupid on Microsoft's part) you can disable Windows Resource Protection which should stop the game from being closed out over resource usage.

Does anyone have cops with buggy arm textures when wet? Noticed it when playing LSPDFR, but it occurs in vanilla too.

^^ Woah--have never seen that; but will take a closer look at the cops tonight. Have you noticed if it happens only with African-American LSPD, or Caucasian cops too?

Seems to me that R* tweaked a few things a day or so ago; I noticed a new two-person celebration anim (end of a rally race), plus new NPC dialog has been cropping up too (I'm a bit OCD about noticing NPC speech) lol...

Happens with all male cops wearing short-sleeved shirts. To test it more easily, use Simple Trainer to switch to that character model, and make the player skin wet.

What tweaks are you talking about? Doesn't seem like any game files have been changed recently?

I have zero proof of tweaks on R*'s end (my ignorant assumption), but I have noticed new NPC dialog (store clerks, general street walkers), plus that new "celebration" animation I've never seen before.

Will add what you noticed as a potential bug--sure looks like it!

^^ Not yet; will do tonight. Should be easy to check--just need to wait for rain and look for cops. :)

When it comes to GTAO, I'm learning that what I might think are just "one-person anomaly" bugs could well be bugs for everyone, and possibly even multi-platform--not just PC. I thought that about MightyMax's water and grass texture mesh bug report. I wasn't even consciously looking for it, when it was quite literally staring me in the face one night while exploring the streets just for fun...

I'm willing to bet your report is related (another water and strange texture) issue.

It's also not uncommon to come across bugs that affect a small number of people; so discarding someone's report because one other person can't confirm it, isn't helpful to fixing it. Look through R*'s patch notes long enough, and you'll sometimes find "fixed a rare bug..." etc. or a special set of circumstances that perhaps only a few people stumbled onto. But they were still issues that needed fixing.

My goal is just to log issues with hopefully enough info that bring them to R*'s attention. It's up to them to determine whether or not it's a bug that needs fixing.

The audio lines are placebo. You're just noticing them.

the joint animations between two players at the end of a rally race have been there since GTA O's launch in 2013.

The issue with the cops is caused by the rain and the material of the cop's hand. The hand registers as a cloth material, and appears darker to simulate it being wet. It's likely the cops had gloves in a beta or something.

Has the skin issue been there since the game first launched? Or was it caused by a recent update?

@ theNGclan: Will add your explanation to the bug report. Thanks!

As always, if anyone notices bugs that have been fixed as of 1.33, please let me know, and I'll cross them off the list (esp. with a corresponding patch note from 1.33 if applicable). Two that apparently have been fixed:

- (fixed in Lowriders: Custom Classics) [poland stronk] If you use frame scaling in Advanced Graphics options you won't have snow textures (when available during Christmas events); only weather with snowflakes and mist.

-> Fixed an issue that caused snow to not display on the ground when using Frame Scaling Mode in the ‘Advanced Graphics’ settings menu.

- (fixed in Lowriders: Custom Classics) [DentureDynamite] Newly-requested Pegasus aircraft (Buzzards and Hydras confirmed) at Sandy Shores airfield

as you get within near-visible distance of them. This is confirmed as multi-platform by [whywontyoulisten] This is when it hops from one spawn point to another as you approach (watch the minimap); sometimes it's enough to destroy it. Happens at the Marina helipad too, at least on the PS4.

-> Fixed an issue that caused some Pegasus vehicles to be damaged when being delivered in certain locations.

Also, the one below sounds like it may have fixed El Dorado's FP bug? Can anyone confirm?

[El Dorado] Playing a round of golf screws up weapon crosshair alignment (at least in FP). See this link for before-and-after screenshots.

-> Fixed an issue that resulted in an offset view when aiming in First Person while wearing the ‘No Shoes’ option.

^^ Good stuff! Updated the bug report with this confirmation from Nvidia.

Hopefully Nvidia themselves will inform R* directly of this issue--would carry a whole lot more weight.

BTW, if you have the exact text from Nvidia's reply to you, that would be good to add, too.

Also, the festive surprise 2014 mask issue was fixed in December.

Any way to fix it on my own using Open IV? Maybe some data files like, I don't know, pedvariations in IV?

Nope. Gotta wait for GIMS V to support skinned mode editing.

Interesting.. Then it is probably the LSPDFR exclusive "feature". Or, you have some special bugless version of the game. Lol

Yeah, I have more photos I can post that show this, but the one above is simplest.

Remember though, just because my system doesn't show it, doesn't mean it might not still be an issue for others with different hardware/configs..!

It was happening to me without LSPDFR.

The latest patch included new files for the male cop model. Could be that they fixed it. Haven't been able to test myself yet (waiting for the Script Hook update so I can use a trainer to check easily).

The bugs related to golf are still there. And the f*cked up aim offset affect 3rd person too

Yeah, confirmed that they've fixed the skin issue with cops. Looks like that was the purpose of the new model and texture files. Now I'm wondering if it was a coincidence, or if they have some interns browsing this thread lol.
