68K Posted January 22, 2003 Share Posted January 22, 2003 I'm sure already know the bugs (I would imagine they read the forums from time to time, seeing as they list them in the booklet that comes with GTA:VC). The PC version definitely has the potential to be better, seeing as the 'average' PC these days has more power than a PS2. But check out the GTA3 forums and read what PC owners said about the game. It kinda sucked. You needed a pretty high spec machine to run it well, far above the 700Mhz machine stated for 'recommended'. My 1.2Ghz machine (with loads of memory and a decent graphics card) wouldn't run the game as smoothly as the PS2. (I'm a technical analyst for my job, so, yes, I know all about BIOS upgrades, 4-in-1's, etc.) A lot of people also listed bugs with certain types of hardware - a common problem with PC games. Some of us own both PC's and PS2's, and if GTA:VC has enough extra features or improvements to make me think it's worth getting for the PC even though I've completed it on the PS2, then I will. I bought GTA3 for the PC hoping that tools would be released that would enable me to model my own map. Unfortunately, these tools were slow in coming 'cos the fans had to reverse-engineer the formats and write their own. By the time the tools were available, I'd lost interest. If you really want to email with a list of bugs and stuff, then look through the forums. But it's probably not necessary. I'm sure they are already well-aware of what's wrong with the game. I think it's inefficient use of this thread to ask people to post details of bugs that are no doubt detailed elsewhere in the forum. PS. Read my sig I pity the PC owners that have to wait a year for the PC version to come out, by which time all the PS2 owners have already got, completed, and learned everything about the game. 68K. You said you already completed gta VC, then what do you do? Right, you get borde. Well, the PC versions have MODS so you can do more than the game. Just look at all of the mods in the PC version, JUST LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I admit that they come out a little too late but IT IS WORTH IT!!!
