Mods being banned.. again (FiveM fiasco)

This is why I'll never buy this game, or any GTA game in the future if they continue with this nonsense. Multiplayer on the PC should have dedicated servers. End of story. And modding single player shouldn't be discouraged. The idea that they wouldn't be making any money doesn't make sense. Look at Valve. TF2 and CS:GO are among the most successful multiplayer games ever made, and they bring Valve a sh*tload of cash. And they not only have dedicated servers but they actually support user created content, and they even encourage it. Some of the modders actually make more money that some Valve employees ffs.

I hope that the development of FIVEM won't be stalled because of this ban, the multiplayer mode is already funnier than GTA Grindline.

If all the banned ones crack their legally-owned-games to remove the social club DRM from the steam version, then it'll still be playable, right?

The core of Online is pretty f*cked up, because of laziness and saving money for a servers. Nothing will change, Online is dead. And it's only 4 months after PC release.

What NTA should do? Using authorization by Steam to play for legit players or make it available for pirates too like SA-MP - that's why SA is still live.

They make a huge mistake when Online and SP were integrated as a single game.

Cod multiplayer was seperated from SP so Idk why Rockstar didnt do this

It's Rockstar. They have own rules which aren't logic for us.

GTA V was catching dust here, boring storymode and grindish online mode.

I downloaded fivem today just because R* is pissed at NTA lol, if they took some action against FIVEM, then it's because fivem is good and it also represents a potential threat for GTA Rubbishline

No doubt this was an attempt to eliminate the competition against GTA Online. Rockstar is against mods and modders, R* will do everything to stop them, this was confirmed a long time ago.

I hope FIVEM will destroy GTA Online (in terms of popularity), then FIVEM will save the GTA franchise from its little monster.

Stop with your Conspiracy theories please...

Its just inproven Conspiracy.

This was a bad move by R*, FiveM's only alternative now is to allow piracy which will effect profits more then the lost shark card sales since people wont have to buy the game to play online.

I support all those who want to create an online fit for the PC Version. GTA Online has gotten into R*s heads in a bad way, especially with the shark cards. We need a community run GTA V multiplayer like SAMP or just cause 2 MP mod. Free from R*'s control.

The gall of YOU of all people to tell someone else to stop with their "conspiracy theories". Just shut your mouth while you're ahead, you have zero credibility with the nonsense you were spouting in that one thread a while back about the "junk code" that was causing the slowdowns on the PC version.

As for the topic at hand, this is expected from Cockstar. They used to be amazing, now they're blatantly anti-consumer. The only reason they're oppressing FiveM is because they want people to keep playing their boring grindfest GTAO and end up feeling compelled to buy $cards. I haven't played this POS game in months because most of my friends stopped due to the lack of any interesting content updates. Heists was the last thing that was remotely interesting and everything that came afterwards was just total meh. R* doesn't care because they know people will just keep throwing them money anyway. And then GTA VI will come out eventually and it'll get 10's across the board mainly due to blind hype, and people somehow won't have learned their lesson.

R* didnt got anti consumer, the opposite they improved.

The PC port was miles better than IVs.

Also I wasnt wrong about this junk code BS it was a rumour with no evidence based at ALL.

Animations caused and still cause stuttering NOTHING to do with junk code. Also R* stated they got NO INGAME ANTI CHEATEING measures.

These modders probably got banned because they modded Online.

And you and your conspiracy wont go any farther thn reddit.

Sometimes I don't understand why I'm about to upgrade my PC to play this goddamn game, when R* keeps threating their customers like garbage.

IV might play worse on PC but at least you can mod it freely, like the old games. V won't be free of Rockstar's caring until GTAO gets shut down (which won't be soon, sadly).

Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder...

I find it so odd how companies can do this. Ban people from the single player portion of the game, as well as their other single player games that had nothing to do with whatever was done in a totally separate game. I've only seen this happen on the PC too. You never hear about people putting their disc into their PS3 or 360 and getting a message that says: "You've been banned from playing this single player game, blah blah blah."

It's one thing to get banned from online servers, but from the single player piece of the game? As well as other games owned by the publisher, that had nothing to do with the issue? The idea of PC games being licensed to you, and not actually owning the product is such a terrible practice.

Thats bs.

If you get banned from Online, that only means you cannot acces Online, nothing to do with getting banned from Sp.

You cannot get banned from SP I have never seen ANYONE getting banned from SP.

Whoever claims that such a ban exists is lying.

R* wouldnt wven be allowed to pull this off...

When did I say I played the game for over a year? Never. I didn't start with GTAO until Sept. last year, and pretty much stopped playing three months ago. But nice job inferring something that couldn't have possibly been construed from anything I said.

Isn't that exactly what the OP is claiming though? That he can't even access the single player portion of the game, as well as other games like Max Payne 3. They weren't just banned from GTAO - their keys were revoked. So they're no longer valid when the game tries to authenticate.

It's not that far fetched. Other developers and publishers do the same thing from time to time. Though not very often.

i'll reiterate.

I can't play any Rockstar game that uses the social club. Single player, or multiplayer.

I can't log in, I can't activate it, I can't play it.

Post proof please, I find this hard to believe.

There is a lot of junk code in I'll got gains part 2 patch

No there isnt, and if there is it wasnt put in there to stop modding...

Its just a performance oversight.

Rockstar clarified this many time.

But conspiracy I guess.

I know enough about IGG2 and I did research.

Look at R*'s clarification.

They officialy stated that they didnt add any InGame anti cheating measures.

Yes a modder proofed functions take longer to be called.

Still nothing to do with INTENTIONALLY added junk code.

Also I think it is a little weird that the EMAIL you posted is talking about GTA Online and nothing else,

yet you claim you cannot acces other games or SC at all.

Post exact evidence of this, preferably a video.

Since I can only think that this is conspiracy BS.

Better look up the word.

And I believe its true.

Because it makes ZERO sense to add junk code intentionally.

Its just a performance oversight, no way it was intentional.Just accept its a BS conspiracy.
