Are these players with extreme online levels considered modders?

I have seen a guy with level 400 today, and one with 800 2 days ago, and one with 1000 1 week ago, obviously both the 1000 and 800 looks like modders, and I am not sure about level 400 (It's also suspicious how they are exactly on 400,800,1000, like no 398 or 401 or etc), I am wondering if rockstar can ban them if a player got evidence, wouldn't rockstar think he is an ordinary player? I mean this is really confusing

No point in worrying about it, mate. There are plenty of legit high levels out there. My main account is nearly 300, if I'd stuck to one account I'd probably be around 5-600 by now.

Rank doesn't even matter after like 120 anyway so who cares, it just shows how much hours you play

Rank 400 isn't extreme. I'm almost at rank 300. I've been playing since the PS3 release date and have been transferring my character ever since. I've never cheated, never boosted and am almost 300

Actually there are many people who do it... like i was on the socialclub site a few days back there was a guy who reached till lvl 52 on the ps4 and was now a lvl 650. SO he is definitely a hacker

It is possible to be over 1000 on rank in this game.

This has been brought up on here before, and I will have the same answer. I have LEGIT members in my crew that are over 800, and a couple that are over 1000. They are loyal players, but its basically all they do is play this game.

It is impossible to mod on ps4...............

...what ?

Absolutely not possible nope.

Its fake if its on PS4.

And regarding S7 its mostly a characktar Transfer with millions from PS3 to 4...

A PS4 is unmodable to my knowledge.

I'm slightly worried to hit rank 300 now....it'd look too suspicious not being 299 or 301 :/

If its a returning player who has been playing since 2013, dont be surprised if they are level 500.

Most people who mod their levels are pretty obvious abut it. They usually have a very distinctive level (555,666,777,888,1000,8000, etc), have very low stats, or have a ridiculously high KD (anything higher than a 5.0)

You're the only one here making this a hostile environment. Why do you care that this thread exists? If you want to be challenged intellectually, open a book...

I got the game (for PC) a week to ten days after release and I have spent as many hours as just about anyone could have playing in the on-line app. My slot one character is ranked at 320 and my slot two character is ranked at almost 150 now. That's a total of 470 rank levels. I could totally see someone more aggressive at acquiring RP reaching levels of 600 to 800 at the time of this here post. I personally would be suspicious of anything much over 600 but what am I to be suspicious of exactly? I mean there are several ways to artificially increase one's rank value. Just as there are win-farming exchanges for races in order to upgrade one's vehicles there are RP-farming exchanges taking place as well. Are these folks to be considered cheaters as well as the mod downloader who just enters the desired number and presses return?

I think the proof is in the taste of the pudding myself. I would assume as of this date in time, anyone with a rank over four or five hundred would be an awesome player and know allot about all the missions, heists, and other activities. If they're not and if they don't then I would be inclined to think they achieved their rank illegitimately.

My slot one character is ranked at 320 and my slot two character is ranked at almost 150 now. That's a total of 470 rank levels.

That's not how the ranking system works in this game. With each rank that you level up it takes more RP to reach the next rank. For example, it takes 28,850 RP to go from rank 99 to rank 100, but it takes 48,850 RP to level from rank 499 to 500. You have roughly 9 million RP at rank 320, and about 3 million RP at rank 150. So, that are 12 million RP in total, which would be around rank 390.

With that being said, your point still remains. If someone spent quite a bit time in GTAO since its release, it is very possible that they acquired a high level by now. Let's not forget that many played the game on the consoles and eventually transferred to the PC, which applies to me too by the way. I went back to the PS4 some time ago, however if you count up all the RP I earned on both of my characters on the console and on PC each, I'd be a level 250-260. I have over 900 hours of play time in total thus far; it also needs to be considered that most time is spent in free roam.

I know players that spent just a couple of hundred hours more in the game than me, who stay out of free roam most of the time, that are past rank 500 already. It's very possible and doesn't require glitching, cheating, or modding.

Now, I do also know for a fact that mod menu users can edit their own and probably even other player's ranks. I have people on my friends list who were low levels, and the very next day they were rank 250, 400, 600, or 666. That are the most common variables as far as I know. Just the notion that editing game stats is possible at all is insane, but only the developers can be blamed for making the game rely on a P2P-based connection in this day and age.

Almost rank 300.

Played a race last night with a player that was rank 1003 -_-. You can look at their profile and see their crew rank to get a better idea of what their real rank is. This guys crew rank was 13 lol. And he drove like a rank 13 too.

400 is nothing. sometimes its a mod sometimes its somebody with nothing to do but play gta all day so they have the time to grind like that. I've been playing for almost 2 years and I just reached level 200 last week.now if you see somebody in a lobby with level 2009 like I did this morning then you know he's a mod.

Playing only since PC release, and being rank 146, now with a play time of 710 hours (according to steam), although solving about 87% of story mode first. But I feel bad about those stats already. I've the impression that lower ranks avoid my hosted games more often now or people tend to interpret too much into it. That high rank isn't contributing to my fun at all. Actually, I play free mode pretty laid back and only engage in PvP actions if someone is aggressive towards me or helpless newbies. Like Mad Max (the original), I chill till my time comes to strike. And missions... I mostly just play them by myself because most randoms just grind them with whatever overkill firepower, while I show up with my average Monroe or so. Most the time, those missions are solved before i even make it to the waypoint lol... so boring... However, as I understand it, ranking is somewhat exponential, so I consider rank 500+ player either batsh*t insane or more likely as cheaters. I avoid them as much as low rank players avoid me. Sometimes I think about getting my second character into the game but then, like today, it's nice if you can revenge kill some random f*ck and say: "That's right, I've a minigun too.".
