TheSantader25 7,153
This movie was very realistic(sometimes funny as well) on how certain situations work. Also a very good example of certain type of people and elections. Edited February 22, 2019 by TheSantader25

The Coconut Kid 339
Never mind the title. This movie (Made in Britain) hits close to the bone and this is not just my favourite scene in the whole thing but my favourite of any film. Alan Clarke/David Leland get it spot on. Willy A. Jeep 5,079
Excepting my absolute favorite films, as well as anything too famous, I guess I'll have to go with... I just love the absolute tensity and concentration in the moment. I didn't really think the whole film (2009's Summer Wars) was all that great, though it's far from the worst feature-length anime I've seen. Spoiler OK, so, without the exception rule, here are my favorites: OK, so, really my favorite scene precedes that one, but I can't find it, so there's the next best thing. It's a bit cheesy with the late 90s music selection, but I've always been cheered right up when I watch that film. And, hey, another scene from Kiki's Delivery Service. What a quality YouTube upload, huh? But it's a dramatic, awesome scene. Go find a copy and watch it the right way. Never thought an air conditioner would introduce me to the concept of death. And so violently! Great film, for kids and adults. An awesome musical piece (which I think was probably inspired by Aretha Franklin's Freeway of Love), with some heavy themes. And singing cartoon cars. Airplane! is amazing. I don't think this is its best scene, but it certainly is one of its most relateable. From "radar range" to "instruments", this blend of visual humor and pun gets me every time. Can't go wrong with Ray Charles, a keyboard, and a crowd of strangers with the groove in their hearts. Rollers. SCMODS. Sam & Dave. Oldsmobiles. Perfect. Absolutely gorgeous intro, juxtaposing the endless beauty of space and the eerie deadness of a ruined Earth, all to the singing of Michael Crawford. Yes please. Hey, wait a second, this is kinda the same thing as the WALL-E opening! No surprise, of course. Pixar used the music in the next clip in the WALL-E trailer, after all! Brazil is an awesome interpretation of the Orwellian dystopia. Retrofuturism, absurdist themes, dark comedy, great music, and amazing visuals. Watch it if you can. Oh, and of course, you'd have to be a machine man with a machine mind and machine heart not to be touched by Chaplin's words. A genius for all time, in comedy and in truth.
