un4givn85
hey all new here have a question for other SLI users out there are you experiencing major usage percentage differences between cards? lately ive noticed the my second card will be around 80-95% usage and the first one will be at only 50-65% heat isnt an issue, the first card runs at most 80c and the other barely breaks 60 most times here are my system specs: Core i7 2600k @ 4.7ghz cooled by a Corsair H50 EVGA P67 FTW w/ 16gb GSkill Sniper DDR3 2133 EVGA GTX980 SC ACX 2.0 X2 @1551 CM HAF XB Evo w/ EVGA 1000 P2 Samsung 850 Evo 250GB -- OS Windows 7 64-bit Samsung 840 Evo 250GB -- games GTA V is installed on the 840 evo i also experience the microstutters that most people on here seem to have Edited August 5, 2015 by un4givn85

QuickGhosty
Bad news, according to Rockstar GTA V doesn't not actually "support" SLI or crossfire I also have 980's in SLI but I dont get that kind of scaling, for me both are usually around 95-80 but the second card never gets to 100%. Also you might not know this yet but it also messes with the wave simulation if you turn off SLI you'll notice much higher and more realistic waves....... but then again you can only use one card

This point is useless to debate because it is a hard fact. I leave SLI off unless I play something like Tomb Raider 2013 that effortlessly pushes 95-99% out of my two 970's. I'm lucky to get 60-70% gpu usage in GTA5. Although, I can agree that GTA5 with a single card displays much nicer. un4givn85
thanks for the responses i havent tried using it with just one yet, maybe tonight strange thing is, when i had two 970s, they both ran about 50-60% evenly
un4givn85
Tested. Can now maintain a solid 60fps with very minor drops in the country side. Everything but grass maxed at 1080p. And thanks for the waves tip, much better now. Too bad SLI is broken.

Steam has the demo.
