the cutscene bank building model only uses one texture which looks really weird. Already confirmed by Mugetsuga though.

Seems like The Hero's plugin somehow sometime some models f*cks up in the way, the one texture is used for every. Thankfully i did it with old Kam's plugin, but after checking with new plugin + reexporting it became what it became.

Thankfully i left the one exported with Kam's plugin in txd.img

tl;dr it's ofc not my fault as usually here is fix

Is it possible to change camera angles in the first cutscene? I have seen on PS2 looks differently.

What's supposed to be different? I played the intros PS2 and PC at the same time, but I failed to see a difference.

Also, I took a fast look between the PS2 and PC values in the main.scm but they don't seem different.

I noticed a little different camera angles in the moment when Claude running with shotgun in the beginning of cutscene. Catalina looks different in PS2 version, never know that.

The difference isn't because of widescreen? Comparing on youtube without widescreen, they look the same.

Her PS2 head is restored in the PS2 Pack if you're interested.

Mugetsuga, my explanation was not fully correct. I mean, Claude hit a bank camera with a shotgun, after that during his run there is principally "first person look" in PC version, but in PS2 version camera follows behind Claude. In fact, difference is very minor.

I see, but i think it's by files in cuts.img in anim folder. Those files are in a bit different format on PC and PS2

  • Restored missing texture (detail_128_grey) on bank in first cutscene to match xbox version
  • Fixed the damn black line on "Liberty City Bank" sign in first cutscene
  • Fixed black line betweeen roads in first cutscene
  • Restored missing texture on first cutscene esperanto (esperantobodyc64)
  • Restored missing texture on first cutscene securicar (securicabody64)
  • Changed texture of enforcer in first cutscene to match IG one (poldecals128)

I don't see any difference with this stuff on my game. Someone can post screenshots?

Yessir, yes it is.

How did you extract PS2 SFX? Did you reconvert the whole file to PC or only took the dispatch lines? Is there anything else different from PC?

In the final retail version, only 2 do this.

However, in beta footage, i've noticed more manholes had steam coming out of them.

This one, however, is on the sidewalk.(look to the right in the BG, if you can't see it.) No steam in retail.
Now, what i'm wondering...would it be possible to make steam come out of them again? Is this controlled by particle.cfg or timecyc? Or is it controlled by the .exe?
EDIT:Here's where I think the steam is coming from on the last one:

Good news for Claude Liberty.. i guess. I finally managed to get ProxTube working again and didn't actually know that there's a uncut edition from LIPS 106 which has "Wash him off" included and also a cut military commercial.

Right now i'm mixing the original and the beta together so it doesn't have the stupid "Radio tuning sounds" from the soundtrack :D

 

PS: Always wondered why there's a marker in LIPS.WAV if you open it with a Audio Software/Vegas from Sony? It's actually a leftover from R* indicating the cut militray commercial :D

Nice one. Actually I was about to ask ZomBear if he really has the disk and ask him to upload it, this might get us the higher quality version. BTW, did you use Lips from PC or PS2? Not that it matters, I'm just asking because I personally prefer the PS2 rips.

I used the PC version since it matches up with the soundtrack, so you can't hear any differences when the soundtrack part starts.

Using a HQ version won't make any differences because i exported it with GTA 3 PCs original .WAV settings.

I wonder, has anybody tried to place PS2 train graffiti textures on PC's detailed model?

 

I think the PC model actually haves the UV spots for the graffiti textures (see pictures below for explanation), though its being only being used by subexteriorb64. It might be a 'leftover' of the original PS2 model, who knows right?

 

PC train, gray areas is the subexteriorb64 texture.

PS2 model, notice the graffiti are in the same spot of the gray areas of the picture above. (sorry for the sh*tty image, that's the clearest picture I could find on the internet.)

Game Radio: Restored fast talking after the Liberty City Survivor advertisement.

Lips 106: Restored "Wash Him Off" song, restored The Military advertisement. Optional: removed Rush Rush preview.

BTW, I plan on hunting down more of these LC Survivor ads on other stations and extending their "Sponsored by Ammunition" disclaimers to what we got in the sampler. Should I?

I got some odd bug going on at the copshop in Staunton with some untextured strips on the pavement of the parking lot. Anyone know what .txd this is?
