GTA III Fixed vehicles is finally ready!

Here's the posts that explain some changes if you didn't saw them: Yakuza Stinger, Police, Bobcat, Stinger, Diablo Stallion, Taxi, Enforcer and Train.

 

Damaged windscreen fixed.


Barracks

Nice work but what was the reason to remove ailerons texture from default Dodo wings?

Also I think it's not a good idea to make Dodo's rotor damageable because you can lose it after a couple of hits, and moving/flying without it is kinda stupid.

Also with deaddodo model - it's not a fix but your personal vision how it has to look, it's not fixes but remake

 

And what's the difference between your and default "III Aircraft" models?

I guess that's because the ailerons are meant to be on the tips of the wings, not in the middle.

The ailerons are on the cutted parts, that why it's like that now.

The dodo.dff has a damaged model for the rotor, even if there's no difference with the undamaged model. Going with your logic, restoring the damaged parts for the ailerons is also "kinda stupid" since the Dodo wouldn't be able to fly without them either. If it's bothering you, use Collision File Editor II and change back the flag 17 to 0.

You can see it like that, my personal vision, but the default Deaddodo was in a poor state, if you don't like it, remove the DFF and TXD.

 

The differences:

PS2 textures from Vice City with some edit for the polmav and lcnmav since it's Liberty City.

Weld like the original DFFs.

And since you're bothered by the Deaddodo, maybe it'll be the same with the Skimmer as well since it's using Dodo's textures instead of Vice City's ones.

Please don't consider my feedback so critical.

I just want to say that I thought the idea of 'fixed' vehicles is to actually fix bugs but not to change vehicle visuals like you did with dodo and deaddodo.

 

As for collision fixes - they're not supposed to fully exist or not exist. There could be some kind of middle state - to fix partly to avoid any nonsense.

 

Of course everyone can open Collision file editior and do some changes on their own, but what a reason to release such a fix and then do recommendations about how to unfix it back?

 

Every other fix is great, really!

Just one thing yet - PC Sentinel is broken (white untextured window borders etc.), but it's ok on PS2. Maybe you could place original PS2 model in your fixed pack in the future.

That's what I did, the ailerons are supposed to be on the full-winged one, not the contrary. The Deaddodo wasn't detail enough like the Dodo, I fixed that.

 

The only thing to know is that the rotor had a damaged part and I decided to go for it. If you take in consideration that the ailerons can get damaged, whatever part gets damaged first, the Dodo is not supposed to fly properly after. So there's no problem.

 

I just gave you a little tip to revert it back. I don't plan to revert this back if I had to do an update.

 

About the Sentinel, Tomasak already said this some pages back:

It's in PS2 pack as I don't found it as fix but as different design choice.

Changes:
Fixed fix for bank building.
Fixed missing textures for arrows by the police station
Fixed 2dfx on one cranes and its render distance
Added many missing textures that are on xbox version
Fixed following cars: Yakuza Stinger, Police, Bobcat, Stinger, Diablo Stallion, Taxi, Enforcer

Improved Train - added PS2 graffity, fixed lights etc.
Added flight path from PS2 v1.40 EU version (much longer now)
Fixed UV mapping on following models:
Ind_mainten2, nrailsteps, indbilbridge1, ind_mainten3, redlightbuild06v
Fixed 2 object placement around the map
Added zones names for subway stations (have to start new game :/)
Added higher quality audios for few missions
Fixed textures for 8-Ball Auto Yard gate, radar27, fire escapes, Fire exit sign on Raffle's Fish Market, ticket machine and barrier support, "Fabric-8" (fabricate) shop appearing on apartment block in St. Marks, Paper lanterns, Bollards, Roast Peking Duck restaurant sign

Added unique face for Yardie gang member, introbits
Probably some new bugs, because i am secret employee of R* Vision company.

The PS2 audio stuff is not necessary for the most part. 32 Khz 4-bit ADPCM is worse than the mp3 equivalent on PC. A lower sampling rate translates to less detail in the high-end so perceptually it sounds worse. PS2 cutscene audio may be louder but PC sounds like they've remastered it. It sounds cleaner and it retains the high-end.

Totally agree on that one. PS2 audio files have low quality and some of them sound loud and overly compressed (that's partially because of the low bit depth which decreases the dynamic range). PC audio files really seem to be remastered and that's why I made my "overused puta" file by using the PC version file as a base.

Last time in my workshop, I said there would be news about PS2 Feels after the New Year and it is today.


Let's go back to the video I posted some time ago, I didn't explain anything so maybe you didn't catch everything.
