btw. i have added PS2 vbs in op with presets. It should be mixture of the best from PS2.

Ye, i used 1.40 as source, didn't extract the sfx, cuz i dunno how :D (or more like to match extraction to correct name)

yeah, sound quality in 1.40 is bad. That's why I used the PC version of c1_tex as a base for making my overused puta restore. It was posted here a few pages above.

This is totally off-topic and nothing related to modding/whatever, but I found something and I want that everybody see it. I found a guy that broke the necrobump barriers and pushed them to a new limit...

You can find that guy bumping some other topics, answering stuff from 2013, 2014, 2015 already answered in SilentPatch thread, etc. He's likes to help people or he loves to troll around here, nobody knows. I loled so hard when I saw his answer in the GTA III Code Breaker thread.

Made a quick comparison, on Vanilla GTA3 making.idle has the following lines for the cranes:

 

 

882, cranetopb, generic, 1, 750, 4883, cranetopa, generic, 1, 750, 4
On the fixed making.ide its like this:

 

 

882, cranetopb, generic, 1, 300, 4883, cranetopa, generic, 1, 300, 4
On xbox map its like this:

 

 

882, cranetopb, cranetopb, 1, 750, 4883, cranetopa, generic, 1, 750, 4
So maybe just replacing the 750 values with 300 should fix it right, but its strange since cranetopb its twice instead of cranetopb, generic... Edited by ALCAMJI

There was problem with crane that top wasn't rendered under 100m away from it. The Hero already released plugin that makes every lod without non lod model to appear as in VC and SA aka any time. I planned to duplicate the crane top as LOD to have one as normal model and one for LOD.

Here is the lod fix, i recommend using 1300 as distance (because the bottom part is set to that iirc)

Interesting, I was reading the replies... So, IDE editing isn't needed anymore with the plugin? Everything will work as it should like the "incomplete" cranes in Portland Docks?

Just to know, it matters if the diference between 2 ides its that the fixed one is cranetopb, generic and the xbox one is cranetopb, cranetopb.

 

There are like 20 lines in ide files that the only diference between them its that the fixed one has the generic and the xbox one has the same previous name.

May i ask what you used to edit the water.dat? I could just reimport vanilla water and it would cause more troubles than fix.

Water Editor, just make sure the colors are the same as default and it should be fine.
