And what's so wrong with that? I can literally count on one hand the number of characters I come across (especially female) that do go beyond the largely white stereotypes and it would give people the chance to play around with what is quite literally a very poorly constructed character designer for anyone that actually wants to do make a character that's other than white Caucasian.. I mean come on, have you seen how unflattering some of the lineage actually is?

Yes rockstar should of made face morph then this lineage which most of the decent parents are white for both genders.\

I preferred the one from last gen console, at least it wasn't this stupid.

It's pretty clear what the contest would feature.

 

You brought in the straw-man about this being a "pretty girls always win" anti-pageant. Which one can infer that if you don't have certain features you can't be beautiful. Hence my comments about bias. Hence the need to fill a hole.

Wonderful idea. And why don`t you make it Miss Realism, instead of artificially limiting entries? It will be REALISM, which is universal and rewarding realistic... pixels, as opposed to ... inverse segregation.

Or you can make a Miss Realism contest. Why must I change my idea to conform to what you'd like to see?

 

According to your rules, I can enter ANY of my 2 chars, yes? As it is obvious one is of asian descent, while the other is... non white enough.

Actually yes. The first looks Latina the other is Asian obviously.

 

But you would be limited to one. Can't have folks putting in 6 different characters.

Also, how "dark" skin has to be before I can be deemed eligible for "Ethnic", if I have european characteristics and not asian or afro ones?

There are many attractive other characters out there that aren't showcased here because their owners don't feel they can win. In fact some of the same people in this thread chose to showcase a white character when I know they also have black characters. Some of those folks are at the top of the leaderboard on this contest.

No Dewtech and Furry_Monkey called themselves rascists then became outraged at being called rascists when no one said that.

 

They made up an argument so one could insult me further (cause he has an axe to grind who knows why) and the other can argue about reverse racism against white pixels.

As yet another judge, I would also like to say that I critiqued everyone fairly and reasonably with the instructions and criteria I was given. If you think I'm racist, you are sadly mistaken seeing as I ranked the likes AAR, LL Cool L, and VeraVanderpump quite highly. My vote is the fourth column on the spreadsheet if you're interested.

I was more disheartened by this sort of thing - which wasn't merely implied, and casts some serious aspersions on the judges:

 

 

I don't see the problem with having a contest for persons not of European ancestry. I think the point that is being made is that the judges favored contestants with European features and that people who don't fit the mold felt disadvantaged and were not encouraged to participate.

 

Eliminate the judges, and remove the potential for racism.

 

Just let the people decide.

Maybe, but I can understand why a proposal for a separate contest for ethnic characters and such was interpreted as racism by a select few, especially when one considers how this only came about after the results were made public. Either way, it looks like we're past this.

 

On a different note, we have unfortunately had two contestants drop out of the contest, which I believe may or may not open up it up to hamxod and slimsy (currently tied for 11th).
