G3T STR4F3D
Why does it seem as if most Insurgent drivers are always so afraid? I was recently playing on a GTA Online lobby, and got into a fight with one. I first killed him in his Insurgent with my Special Carbine, in which he ran back in to and fled. He parked around a nearby corner, and went off the radar. His only tactic was to run me over, which worked twice until I killed him. When he respawned, he yet again jumped into his Insurgent. This time he kept he drove away, and hid. He called a Mugger and Mercenaries on me, which failed. His next resort was to put a $9,000 bounty on me, which he claimed when he sniped me off a rooftop. And of course, afterwards he got back into the Insurgent. For the remainder of the session he fled. He would do whatever he could to kill me while keeping distance; he even called in an airstrike. It seems like Insurgent drivers can't do anything without their vehicle, quite similar to Kuruma drivers. Mr.Burrito
Honch777
For me, personally, I only use mine as added protection when I just want to drive around the city if I'm in a volatile lobby. However, if I'm feeling like going to War, I'll chose a regular vehicle for the sake of fairness.

Insurgent is good for defense and that's it, but Technical is for offense.
Semaj 2JZ♢
I'm not scared of anyone in my AK or my Insurgent. In fact, it gives me confidence to enter the battle zone. I will run you down, I will shoot you and I will absorb Rockets til you pay 17k for it. The driver is completely vulnerable head on. I'm also guessing you use AA, so killing him doesn't make you better or less scared. He was avoiding your simplistic AA play to kill him, too bad he was more creative than you... FrugalDangerMan
He was using a different tactic than you. I'm terrible in ground combat and if the other guy knows how to combat roll I'm toast. I get my advantage by sniping from rooftops. Too each their own. As long as you dont wall breach or use invincibility cheats, every strategy is legitimate. Evolve as a gamer or find another game. Skeve613
Insurgent drivers with sense will try to run over people backwards and use the bulletproof center section of the PV Insurgent to shield against auto gun fire. I admittedly do this, because I think the gun combat is rubbish, and if they let me get that close and angered me enough to draw my attention, then they deserve it. Captain Sensib1e
One Insurgent driver tried to run me over, but couldn't because I was behind cover. He was so afraid to get shot out of his Insurgent that he actually got out right in front me. Heh, easy kill. Hurst.

G3T STR4F3D
By hiding in your armored vehicle and relying on it to save you doesn't compensate for anything, other than lack of face-to-face combat skills. I'm constantly trying to up my player kill ratio and make sure it's positive, but I don't compensate for it by avoiding everyone who could potentially kill me. I go on killing sprees and try to get more kills than I do deaths. If they aren't good at gun fights, then they get into more of them and try to improve their gun skill. I was trying to fight an Insurgent driver with a gun and he kept driving away, and his only tactic was driving me over and calling Muggers, Mercenaries, an airstrike, and putting a bounty on me. .Vooodu.
Why does it seem as if most Insurgent drivers are always so afraid? Of course they are afraid, thats why they use it.. Player who are afraid.. or get the most BUTT hurt from dying will use the most OP weapons and vehicles coupled with the cheapest bullsh*t tactics they can use. Where as a crazy person or someone who simply does not give a sh*t, are usually the more enjoyable players to square off with. cswood
Why does it seem as if most Insurgent drivers are always so afraid? Because it's easy to get shot through the front window would be my guess. My PV Insurgent is actually my default free roam vehicle mainly because it provides some protection from jets and tanks and also anyone dumb enough to chase after me. It's main weakness is driving right at someone, although putting a sticky bomb on the front and going off radar and then driving at soemone can be pretty fun. Shadowfennekin
I agree it does feel like they are afraid. Kill somebody a few times and what to they call to replace their Panto I rigged with a sticky in case they tried running off? An Insurgent. Then they did the BP rear method and tried to run me over so I climbed up a ledge, went Passive, and did the Air Thrust until they got out for me to shoot. Then rigged the ground with a Proxy. Since I already have a Technical, I just got PV Insurgent. And I don't really see any position where I would pull out the pick-up Insurgent. If I needed some firepower I would use a Tank or Savage. .Vooodu.
There is 3 types of combat in GTA. Foot, ground vehicles and air craft. And some people will always gravitate toward the most OP weapons or vehicles they can use. .

I was tired of being shot by kuruma players, know what I did? Took my kuruma and did the same. DentureDynamite
It seems like Insurgent drivers can't do anything without their vehicle, quite similar to Kuruma drivers. Actually, the Kuruma is still quite limited and vulnerable...anyone with a sticky bomb or good with an RPG or mini-gun can get an easy kill.
