Don't think I'm gonna be able to do this event really, I don't have a headset can't afford one and it's a struggle to make it out with half the cash with randoms let alone the full ammount

 

I don't have a mic, and this is one heist I have no worries about doing without one.

 

Vans: No need for a mic, as long as everyone knows what they're doing, and no one trolls. Get an idiot or a troll, a mic won't help.

Signal: Combat mission, no real need for a mic.

Hack: Mostly combat mission, no need for a mic, again, if people know what they're doing and aren't trolls.

Convoy: Combat mission, granted a hard one, but no real need for a mic

Finale: No need for a mic if you send messages and everyone is on the same page before hand.

 

Granted, I wish I did have a working mic, for several reason,and it would make them easier, but even with all the heists the only ones that a mic is really needed for, IMHO are: (Prison Break and HUmane Labs finales, easier way to say, "anything but pilot" over and over :-) )

 

Prison Break: Wet WOrk: A mic helps, but isn't completely needed.

Human Labs: Deliver EMP: Unless two guys with mics are willing to clear the way for the rest, a mic is pretty much needed.

Series A: Bikers: Same as Deliver EMP

 

Otherwise, you only need a mic in most cases if someone screwing up . .. but if they read their messages, you can do it ahead of time.

The no lost money thing is on purpose.

 

The game would have issues figuring out what x2 of the exact amount is. They have done it to make sure you always get double pay.

Was doing so well this morning. Then ... running into delightful teams like one who thought it was a good idea to run the boat ashore (as they are heading North towards Paleto Bay, part of me is saying text them, the other part is going, "Shhhh... lets see where this goes") in the "Signal" set-up and then...I don't know WTF the plan was. They're all running around and go off in an NPC car.

 

I literally drive across the mountain solo and get there before them (they drove all the F around up past Paleto Bay apparently - why I have no idea) and I lose the cops easily. They apparently still have the cops after them as they get there - meanwhile, I'm gently driving around an army of cops - anddddddd...one of them gets wasted after all that useless, useless effort. Then, no surprise, that person leaves.

 

Another bunch of dbags who thought it would be a good idea to wreck my armored Kurama right before the show started on the Convoy set-up at the meet point. Then they get into their Kurama and proceed to get obliterated on the bridge like something out of a Michael Bay movie by the incoming Savage. I just left - if someone's going to do that, I just leave as they're likely not going to care and just F up again.

Not sure if this has been said yet, but is anyone else getting normal difficulty payout ($2,000,000) despite playing on hard? Just done it twice with friends and both times the potential and actual take were both $2,000,000, when it should be $2,500,000. It shows the correct amount on the planning board when settting the cuts and roles, and 1.25 mill during the heist. It may be worth noting that both of us paid the setup fee and played through some of the setups a couple months ago (so before the event started), and only now did we finish them off. Coud that have something to do it, or is it glitched out for everyone? On Xbox One

No, but it makes sense. It is the only way for them to guarantee a double payout. It was easier for them to just lock the payout rather than program the game to calculate what the payout is based on how much you lost.

 

I mean I could be wrong but plenty of people are tweeting them about it for the last 6 hours and nothing is changed yet.

Done it twice today and both times on hard we have only got 2 million at the end despite it showing. 2.5 mill. Done it both. 40/20 and 25 split.. Both time we only got 2 mill

The signal setup is a pain in the ass because of randoms driving around paleto bay to get to the drop off point.

Yes that it really annoying!!! i land my helicopter so we can get Avi in but the player who has Avi in the boat just drives off!!!

I agree that if the player sees you in the chopper he should get in with Avi, but it's not wrong to get in the boat. That's what I have always done, and it works. I take him on a little trip up the coast before we get ashore and I request my personal vehicle - and before the mission I make sure that it's the Armoured Kuruma or my Insurgent. After the tunnel I take a sharp right turn up the mountain and I always loose the cops quickly.

1. Why the F do people go up and around Paleto Bay in the "Signal" set-up? How does one even think that's an optimal route? Also, if you try to drive the boat all the way to Grapeseed, don't be surprised if I bail where the dock is where the Valkyrie is picked up for the Humane Labs finale - so much easier to escape the cops at that point. So many people get to the point where we have to escape the cops and we're still in the boat.

 

2. OMFG, THIS IS NOT GRAND THEFT CARPOOL. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE EVERYONE TO THE HEIST. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO HAVE TO DRIVE ALL THE FREAKING WAY BY MYSELF, MUCH LESS DRIVE THE REST OF THE TEAM SWARMING AT MY CAR. IT IS NOT AS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR, YOUR CAR IS RIGHT F'ING THERE.

 

I just had an instance where half the team ran to my locked car right after we get out of the apartment. WTF I am not your heist Uber driver.

The best part of this 2x Pac Standard event is that you do not lose cash when getting shot.

 

I suggest that the poor grind all week long. Something expensive is on its way.

 

P.S. Screw the Kuruma escape. Learn to drive a bike.
