Alright, it's getting late here in Europe and when I wake up tomorrow the event will be over. It was a fun week. I actually managed to get $20 million (best event ever)

They cannot "just hop in" pv's remain locked till, roughly, out of the city. This is common knowledge

 

Each player must be in the garage either by walking in or the owner selecting enter with friends or whatever it is.Using the flat next to the construction site allows you to shake the cops then enter below street level meaning cops would have to be directly behind you to prevent entry (entry in governed by line of sight as I'm sure you're aware)

 

Any method where suicide during a heist is a suggestion is ,blatantly, deeply flawed

I almost feel sorry for saying this but again I only quoted that part of your post that's relevant for my reply. People that want to read your whole post can just click on the arrow.

With that said, I play on the PC and never had any trouble going in the garage alone, get my car and then let the team hop in once I've left the garage. And when other players used this method I always could get in their car too without problems. Apparently this also works on the PS3. Don't know about the X1/PS4 version but those are more or less the same as the PC version so I assume it also works on those platforms.

If you play on the X360 I obviously understand your earlier reaction.

Now, about the suicide thing. You say any method involving suicide is flawed. I disagree because suicide is just quicker than waiting for some1 to get killed. In the end it's all the same where we simply start all over at a certain waypoint. For me that's not flawed but merely more effecient than waiting until the inevitable fail happens.

And I've seen hosts suicide when a hostage was killed in the bank. Or when their bike was destroyed during the chase. Or when they drove their car into the lake. Or when some1 was so far behind it was clear the timer would run out before he made it into the boat.

In some of those situations suicide was a bit premature and I would never have done it myself. But when I join a setup/heist I follow the host. If they want to suicide to avoid NOOSE that's fine by me.

Anyway, the event is about to end and that means I will sell the house near the bikes. It was a great investment though and helped me make over $18 million in less than a week. But I'm pretty sure I won't host this heist with randoms again in a long, long time.

 

 

First, feel sorry for what? If you for some reason you are saying you feel sorry for me you have crossed the line. Your last post was cut off right after I said the nearest flat wasn't the best and not adding the reasons why. Obviously that is relevant to the conversation if you are disagreeing and stating that proximity to the bikes is more important, leaving it out strengthened your position and weakened mine. You left your reason in and took mine out. It should have been included, you also aren't saying anything again. However I must admit I have never noticed the arrow before

 

Second, getting in pv's varies, I have been told it cannot be done on pc prior to this, it cannot be done consistently or at all on xb1 but now it's clear to those reading and they can make an informed choice, more informed than "just hop in" I have left games because people have tried and died messing about with pv's inside the city

 

Third, if you die on a heist, you have failed. Advising someone to kill themselves if it doesn't work because it's quicker than an inevitable death means your method does not work, it leads to death by your own admission. Dead hostages, noose, submerged car, too far behind are all massively, easily avoided but they are nothing to do with suggesting that suicide is an option, you shouldn't be in a situation where it's quicker than waiting to die if you are in that situation you have already failed

 

I agree with you about noose if I am with a competent team I'm happy to fight it out, but with bad players, it becomes untenable, ultimately unprofitable, and worst of all not fun

 

I'm also glad it's over, it's gotten out of hand, but in closing

 

My, and others, whole point is this

 

The bikes, combined with the right route, not shooting and braking provides

 

A consistent, quick and easy method

 

Doesn't bring the cops to the boat, where you are the most exposed and have no choice but to use the boat

 

Doesn't require "mad bike skills" mic's or heavy armour

 

Doesn't force you to wait around in the city with a 5 star wanted level

 

Is more interesting than sitting in the back of a car

 

Can produce a perfect take

 

Avoids police almost entirely

 

Doesn't add more, and more aggressive cops

I was squeezing and holding through out the bank, down the alleys, and over to the bikes.

 

Figured once I got into the Kuruma I could run away and release some pressure real quick, but they decided to use the bikes !

 

Well, lets just say that I had to abandon ship and I let my team down. Hurts not having a mic at times

Next time I really hope they give Prison Break more than a weekend. f*cking ridiculous how many I get thrown into when trying to find randoms it feels like the majority are STILL stuck there.

 

And after this weekend, I'm not touching anything Heist related again until the next(if ever) double money stuff. 30 mil in the bank and after getting 40/50 grand per setup along with 500 k on the Finale it'll just feel weird...... I'll stick to contact missions again, cause at least I'll still get paid if a randumb quits.

Heists should have been level locked to 100 from day one...probably even higher.

At least 80% of the community are utter hapless at heists,15% are works in progress and 5% are adept.

The worst thing is the damn host HAS the full armor suit in the cutscene where he invites us to the planning room,he probably has no idea how to set Player Saved outfits!!!

this proves levels only show how much time you have wasted in gtao, its not a indicator of how good you are at the game.

Managed to get in two more finales with the crew, as well as, a couple of set-ups. I'm up to $36.7 million and can't complain. 40/20/20/20 was the split for both finales, I hosted one and another crew mate hosted the first time.

Agreed, will be a very long time before I touch heists again. I'm planning on having a break from GTA for the next week at least as well now.

Made over $12 million this week and have $21 million in total, not bad for never hosting and playing with mostly randoms. Wearing heavy utility vest makes taking the bikes so easy, I got rammed by a cop car, surrounded and shot at and still didn't have to use any of my extra body armors as I got back on the bike.

I was able to make like 8m, only got to to 9.8m even tho I wanted to hit 10m, but the problem is that I hosted a heist on saturday, but could only finish one setup until yesterday I had barely any friends to help, and I didn't have much time to play it. I won't be able to get the 1m out of it now that the event is gone, what a shame. Still made plenty of money, I'm glad for that.
