MisterMagnifico1
So, like many, I upgraded to Windows 10 today. At first the game launched without issue and my stuttering problems back in Windows 7 had been all but fixed, but then it refused to launch again after that. It simply gets stuck in the Social Club loading screen thing and never actually launches the game itself. I've tried pretty much everything, re-installing Nvidia's Windows 10 driver, which I ran my first and only success at launching the game with, including doing a clean driver install. I tried disabling and then re-enabling my graphics card. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Social Club files all to no avail. Anybody got a clue what to do? Daniol
I've got almost exactly the same problem, but in my case game does load after about 15 minutes of waiting, which is unacceptable . I reinstalled it twice, gave it administrative permissions and it still doesn't work. I'm thinking about installing my Win7 back, but man... that super fast boot of Win10 is just too good And there is something more. When I start GTA V, main menu should pop up but instead of this I'm getting "Loading Story Mode" and then "Starting Social Club" in the right down corner. Main menu pops up when SC login. I have no clue what's causing that, so if somebody knows how to fix that I'd really appreciate your help . Sorry for my English Edited August 1, 2015 by Daniol lpgunit
Nick930930
Had stuttering on my HDD Windows 7 build. Bought a SSD and reinstalled Windows 7 and reinstalled GTAV. Still had stuttering. Downloaded and Upgraded to Windows 10. Still had stuttering. Sorry to say OP but I do not at all experience infinite loading. Have you tried verifying your game cache via steam? And yes, I'm not that arsed to downgrade either, so I'm afraid that we have no choice but to wait until R* issues a patch for GTA V to work on Windows 10. I'm afraid R* won't do anything about it because it's not a "global issue". I was searching all over the internet to find anyone who have similar problem and I found no one except you . @edit: Nevermind, there are some people reporting this problem on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/app/271590/discussions/0/535152276588986743/ I'm curious what's causing this problem. Either it's GTA V or Windows 10. Edited August 2, 2015 by Daniol
Slips-GTA
Try start the game as administrator Edited August 2, 2015 by Slips-GTA
Daniol
Try start the game as administrator Tried it already, didn't help. At some point when I gave administrative permissions to all GTA V process+RGSC process, game did start correctly to main menu, but when it started loading story mode my PC BSODed, and it didn't work after reboot. MisterMagnifico1
Fixed the issue. Appearantly, even though I explicitly checked, when I was launching Steam and the game normally, it wasn't launching because I had to "Run As Administrator", even though I'm the only user and therefore administrator on my PC. Game runs great now, noticeably less stuttering than Windows 7. Thanks for all the input guys EDIT: If anybody has my same problem, what I did to solve it was give administrative permission to both GTAV.exe and GTAVLauncher.exe. I mean it seems to happen quite randomly, and the game is just making me wait 10 extra second, showing me this screen and then the menu.
