In what order did you do the assets?

The Mysterious One

I know the order can vary, because it is entirely up to the player on how he/she does things. But when having the assets, what was the order that you bought and/or completed them?

Here is how I mostly did it:

  • Pole Position
  • Boatyard
  • Cherry Popper's Ice Cream
  • Interglobal Studios
  • Kaufman Cabs
  • Sunshine Autos
  • Print Works
  • The Malibu

At least this is how I did it in my last playthrough to date. When getting the strip club, you unlock the Mr. Vercetti suit, which I had Tommy wore for cutscenes, especially for the boatyard when one of the guys addressed him as "Suit Dude."

I think I changed things around a few times, but I mostly did the ones without actual missions first. I have the Sunshine Autos in there in between other ones because the carjacking ring bit usually helped raise money to buy other businesses. In some ways, I wonder if I should have done the print works last as it had relevance to the story with Lance being in one of the cutscenes. Of course, I mostly did The Malibu last as a save-the-best-for-last sort of thing, and then you get Phil's missions afterward, but I did those two before the final missions mostly. Of course, last playthrough, I did the last assassination mission before Phil's missions.

Was there an order that you did it in?

  • Pole Position to get the suit
  • Sunshine Autos, because it's easier to collect cars earlier in the game, and you can get money from races
  • Cherry Popper, because Mr Whoopee is necessary to complete Sunshine Autos asset
  • Boatyard, because it's close to the other businesses and relatively cheap
  • Malibu Club to get Phil Cassidy's missions
  • Interglobal Studios
  • Kaufman Cabs
  • Print Works since it unlocks the last missions

Of course the order was varying from time to time, but this is the one I was using mostly in my VC playthroughs.

Well I'm about to reach the assets on my current playthrough as I've done all side stuff (I currently have a couple of missions available such as Shakedown, Love Fist missions and also Two Bit Hit, which I kept for later to avoid Cuban outfit glitch).

Anyway for assets, I'm going to do first The Malibu because it's most expensive, produces more money in a day (not that I need money, I have about $525000 currently), the last mission of it (The Job) is one of the missions that must be done BEFORE Two Bit Hit to avoid the Cuban outfit glitch (the others being No Escape? that is first mission of Malibu club and Cop Land that will be done before buying assets) and then I can safely do Two Bit Hit as well as the Cuban & Haitian missions, then after that I complete Phil's missions and buy the other assets. But before doing that, I do the Rifle Range challenge (unlocked after The Shootist), as well as Loose Ends payphone mission. Then I finish remaining Malibu missions, do Two Bit Hit and all gang missions as well as Phil's missions, then go in order from cheapest to most expensive (Boatyard to Printworks). Another thing is that Print Works is required to unlock LAST missions (as well as at least other 5 assets), so I always complete game 100% with the very last mission Keep Your Friends Close and that's why I keep Printworks for last.

To recap or if you think my post it's too confusing, here is the order I do all of this :

1) The Malibu Club

2) Boatyard

3) Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory

4) The Pole Position Club

5) Kaufman Cabs

6) Sunshine Autos

7) InterGlobal Studios

8) Print Works

I allways did cherry popper first. Fairly easy to do near the docks, and you don't need to go too far to get to the pay n spray. Also cops rarely went down there.

I'm not relly sure about the excact order but I remember buying the Malibu as one of the latest because it is so damn expensive.

I do them in order of proximity (how close I am to one). I do this because I pay attention to the Total Playing Time Stat. I don't want to drive all over the map, so I do what is closest to me first. Also, at times I try to do the Malibu Club first because at that time, I have room in the Garage to get the BP/EP/FP Sabre Turbo from "The Driver." Other than PS2 V1, you need to use a Tank and push the wreck back to a Garage, so I need a Garage which is free, usually the Vercetti Estate at the time I get the Sabre Turbo.

I think the Print Works were last for me, but this is such a long time ago, I can't remember the rest.

1/ Boatyard
2/ Sunshine Autos
3/ Malibu Club
4/ Pole Position Club
5/ Kaufman Cabs
7/ Print Works
(The game's crashed, so I ended up missing the last assets)
